I got another hit in the gut today, metaphorically speaking. I finally found out that my references are bad, or at least one of them. I haven't been able to find work for a year because of this and no one would give me any feedback about why. This guy was nice enough to let me know that "compard to the average employee, you had more issues getting along with other employees". Nice, thanks ex boss. If any of you remember, there was this employee who lied and told me she was  still just a student and therefore got me to do all her work for her, when in fact she had been hired as a tech like me. She would then sit there and look up grad dresses, arrange her vacation to Australia and apply for scholarships for her grad studies, instead of working on the project. I thought she was just not getting paid for that time and so was just hanging out. She was sallaried and just wouldn't do anything because she was leaving. The boss though she could do no wrong so basically, I am discovering, just didn't believe me that she had manipulated me so she didn't have to work for her pay. I didn't do anything but start refusing to do things because I knew what her positon was which lead to her sending me flaming email saying all this crazy stuff and telling me she wouldn't deal with me directly anymore. The boss blamed me for all of this. I blame him. But now, I have discovered this was the bad reference I had on my resume for the entire year, and the reason I cannot find any work or anykind. Thanks to this high school esk cheerleader girl. I could still lose my house at any moment, and how do I deserve this??
