Good to hear from you. Yeah we get snow here from October to May. We skip fall and spring and go from winter to summer, but this year it has actually been mild. How have you been? HUGS!

Close Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
I found out a year ago that I have PCOS.
Treatments
- Aldactone Working / Worked
- Has stopped the extra hair growth
- Oral Contraceptives Considering
- It helps with the cramps every day....but some of the side effects make me wonder
Close Scoliosis
I have hemivertabrea scoliosis I believe. I was never given the technical name for it.
Treatments
- Cymbalta Not Working
- Made me suicidal, edgy, have insomnia, and shaky hands...not a good combination
- Effexor Working / Worked
- I was on it for pain causing depression that was causing more pain
- Oxycodone Working / Worked
- It helps if I don't take it on a regular basis...also make me have insomnia and a lot of energy
- Physical Therapy Working / Worked
- I have had one appointment and hoping to go in for more
Open Hypothyroidism
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about a year ago and at the same time as I was diagnosed with PCOS
Treatments
- Armour Thyroid Not Working
- I wasn't able to absorb the meds to help with T-4. I had sever hand pain and was unable to do my stitchery work
- Cytomel Working / Worked
- I switched to Cytomel and am doing great
- Synthroid Working / Worked
- It is working well and my hand pain has gone away.....YAY
Open Back Pain
I have scoliosis and chronic back pain. I had a breast reduction surgery and that helped ease the back pain. It is still there but less pain meds...I actually feel like I am living.
Treatments
- Acupuncture Working / Worked
- Has rid me of most of my chronic pain in my shoulder. Works on and off with the general acks and pains.
- Cortisone (Injection) Working / Worked
- helped release muscle spasms.
- Flexeril Not Working
- I have a high level of resistence to meds
- Heat Working / Worked
- Sometimes helps.....a very hot shower is also nice.
- Ibuprofen Not Working
- Morphine Not Working
- Doesn't affect me.
- Naproxen Not Working
- Not strong enough.
- Oxycodone Working / Worked
- As long as I don't take it regularly I am good to go
- Physical Therapy Not Working
- Insurance won't pay for it.
- Stretching Working / Worked
- When I do it often it can help.
- Surgery Working / Worked
- I had a breast reduction. It helped relieve back pain for a short time. It has made the pain easier to deal with.
Open Chronic Pain
I have scoliosis and chronic pain from a shoulder injury 3 years ago.
Treatments
- Acupuncture Working / Worked
- I found an acupuncturist that I like and trust. I have some appointments that work right away and some that work over time.
- Cymbalta Not Working
- Mde me suicidal
- Heat Somewhat Helpful
- Morphine Not Working
- Naproxen Not Working
- Osteopathy Working / Worked
- I go on average once a month. It helps to a point.
- Oxycodone Somewhat Helpful
- There are days it helps and there are days it doesn't. I notice sometimes I use it more as a muscle relaxers then a pain reliever because muscle relaxers don't work.
- Physical Therapy Working / Worked
- I was able to go to one appointment and then found out my insurance doesn't pay for it. It helps a lot but I need help with motivation. I know pain should be motivation enough but it doesn't seem to be.
- TENS Not Working
- Made the pain ten times worse.
Open Fibromyalgia
I am being sent to a clinic to see if I have Fibromyalgia. Just reading the symptoms list and news I apear to have it. We shall see.
Open Depression
I suffer from depression due to pain and physical ailments.
Treatments
- Cymbalta Not Working
- made me very shaky and suicidal...bad idea.
- Effexor Working / Worked
- Worked for a while
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- I went to a psychologist for a few months and it helped me got to a point where I had energy and able to deal with everything.
- Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
- I have a great family and set of friends.
- Writing Working / Worked
- Gets me through rough patches.
Open Hypermobile Syndrome
I have always been told I had loose ligaments but until two weeks ago I didn't know it was a significant dissorder to be dealing with. They believe that is a helping hand in why I have scoliosis and Fibromyalgia.....creepy.
