TODAY IM FEELING GOOD ABOUT MYSELF..MY KIDS ARE SKILL GETTING ME UPSET BUT I 'LL BE OK...
I am feeling very much more at peace now. I talked to my editor and he is okay with consulting me. I have learned a few things. It is good to have personal conversations and it is good to state your needs and show how meeting these needs would be best for all involved.
We didn't discuss every last detail, but we came to an overall understanding. I think I will outline other concerns I have in an email and state further needs and ways they can help me avoid stress.
I am learning that when a situation is upsetting, you have to identify what it is that is upsetting you --what needs are not being met, then you have to state these and show how meeting these needs would help you and the group. Once they see where you are coming from, it is rare they want to fuck you around--only the truly twisted would take this approach.
So I am learning how to get my needs met without upsetting people. This is health according to my counsellor.
Once I gain confidence that I can handle this process effectively, a lot of anxiety will disappear because I will know that I can get my needs met.
As a child, my needs were not met, which left me feeling I was not capable of getting them met. Now as an adult. Things have changed and the entire world is not composed of narcissists or those with narcissistic tendencies who have trouble seeing or empathizing with another's point of view.
Feeling excellent but tired as I was up and stressed out last night--had to take a tranquilizer. Now I am at peace, though tired. I handled the situation very well. Take a bow, Susan.

Good for you Susan! I think how you handled yourself,your editor and email situation was a positive growth experience for you! AYour so right, that learning that you can meet your needs,express them to others in a healthy way,will lower your anxiety.Good for you! Hope you get some rest and a good sleep....Hugs
