Close Accidents
On April 22, 2006,I was hit by a drunk driver who was going 110 MPH. Recovery has been lengthy. The crash rotated my pelvis off my spine, crushed my left foot, shattered my right forearm, broke 3 ribs, a split the back of my head open from ear to ear. It also shredded the muscle of my left leg from my back to my ankle.

Open Financial Challenges
In April 2006, I was in a near fatal auto crash. Due to my medical condition, medical bills, and needed medical care, our household income went from 2 very stable, substantial incomes to less than 25% of what we were bringing in. In November 2006, my husband left his 9-5 job to stay home and care for me. He has a business he runs from our home but the first couple of years are difficult.
