Close Infertility
Type: EndometriosisMy husband and I have been doing natural family planning since May 2003. Then we started trying to get pregnant in May 2005. In June 2007 I had surgery for endometriosis (stage 3) and now am doing clomid and IUI
Treatments
- Artificial Insemination Too Soon to Tell
- Last month was my first IUI. Will try again this month.
- Basal Thermometer Working / Worked
- I charted for 18 months before seeing my OB/RE. I was ovulating fine and on schedule.
- Clomid Working / Worked
- I have taken Clomid 2 months with one IUI also. I wasn't having problems ovulating, but my OB/RE wants me to try everything "natural" in the 6 months after surgery for endometriosis. With clomid I ovulate on both sides.
- Folic Acid Not Working
- My OB/RE requires that all infertility patients take folic acid. I've been taking it for 2 years now.
- Ovulation Predictor Kit Working / Worked
- I ovulate great and on schedule.
Close Endometriosis
I started to suspect that I had endometriosis when a good friend was diagnosed with it. I wanted to see my OB/RE for infertility problems, but would have had a 3 month wait, so I went for endometriosis in May 2007. I had surgery June 2007 for endometriosis (stage 3) as part of an infertility treatment.
Treatments
- Laparoscopic Surgery Working / Worked
- My surgery went well. The first cycle after surgery, I didn't have any pain. My pain is back now, but we are also doing infertility treatments, so I can't help but wonder if my pains are coming from that.
Open Narcolepsy
I am the wife of a narcoleptic. He was diagnosed long before he met me, but have been through a lot of medication changes with him.
