I usually can sleep as I take Valium, topomax, and depakote before I go to bed. But the last few days my head has hurt non-stop, unusual for me. I thought maybe it's a sinus infection. Nothing hurts on the front of my face though, it's from the top down to the back of my neck. Also for the last two weeks, my hair has hurt. I've tried blow-drying it, straigtening it, clipping it up, putting it in a ponytail -nothing works. I can't even touch it to brush it without wanting to cry. It's so wierd. Last night I woke up after only 3 hours, crying. The pain in my hands and arms were some of the worse I've ever had. My hands were swollen and the palms were a bright shiny red. I ran them under warm water and rubbed them (didn't know what else to do). After a few minutes of doing that, the pain started to go to feet the same way. I wear a patch, so I have nothing for break through pain. I have no idea what is going on with this, but I know I can't take another dx on top of all the others......
Sorry you are hurting so badly at the moment. My sister that has Fibro and Hashimotos (thyroid disease) has the painful hair thing on and off. Perhaps you could post on the Fibro message board and ask if anyone else has that as a symptom, at least then you would know what is causing it. Big hugs to you.
