My passions used to revolve around anything that had to do with water -shrimping, crabbing, skiing, fishing, sailing, wakeboarding, and just laying in the water. After getting sick we sold the sailboat, and the cabin cruiser. I'll keep the little boat so we can continue to crab, shrimp, and fish. I love to read. I used to read a book a day, but with the meds and illnesses my short-term memory makes it very difficult to read novels anymore. I stick to Readers Digest or Guidepost now. I love animals, but I only have dogs right now - I have 4; 1 standard poodle, a great dane, a great dane mix, and a chihuahua. Love SEC football and basketball. Since I'm home quite a bit I've become addicted to Law and Order, animal planet, and CSI. Also spending time on the internet researching chronic pain, chronic fatigue, DDD, arthritus of the spine, bulging discs, annular tears, fibro, myofaschia pain, and addictions (due to ex and son)

    • Open Families & Friends Of Addicts

I am in the beginning stages of getting a divorce from my alcholic husband after 28 years. I didn't realize how much the family got sucked in to those dynamics and drama. Now in the last week, my oldest son has admitted that he is an opiate addict and I suspect my youngest in an alcoholic at college. I am in chronic pain from different diagnoses, so my oldest was stealing my meds. I kept blaming my ex on my missing meds, never suspecting my son. I have a lot of healing to do!
