I called my mortgage company on Friday and was told that they have a moratorium on all forclosures until Sept. 30th. This means that all foreclosures are put on hold until that time so that they can address the back log of loan modification requests they are dealing with. I put in my request for a loan mod last month and they are still working on the ones they received in March.
So, I can breathe for a few months. At least I know I won't be denied the modification and kicked out of my house in the interim. Hopefully, my LTD claim will be approved by then.

Maybe the finance company will get caught up soon and you can have some peace.

Well, that takes the pressure off. As you say, hopefully your LTD claim will be sorted out by the time you need to pay it again. It would certainly be nice to have no financial worries and say, "it's only money" but unfortunately it is a necessary evil! Charlotte.
