As most of you know, I haven't been able to work for quite a while. I've filed for long term disability through work and found out yesterday that the insurance carrier has started reviewing my case. They are supposed to make a decision next Thursday to determine if they will approve my claim or not. I can't tell you how much I NEED this.
Without going into all the details, I have a feeling that it's not going to be approved and I'm really, really having a tough time with anxiety and depression right now. I'm asking you all to please send some positive energy my way and for those of you who pray, prayers would be appreciated as well.

I hope it gets appoved and you may be right for it may not. It usually takes years and several denials for it to kick in. I know how much you could use this extra help and I pray it comes through for you.
I was thinking maybe you can do what I do. Work through and agency and do home health cases . Little kids are not heavy and you would be able to pick your schedule? This is the only work that I am able to do. Hugs, Inga

My cousin is an RN and contracted cardiomyophathy (sp ??) which has left her heart fuctioning at less than 20%--they have put in a difibulator...anyway she us unable to function at all. She applied for disability in Florida and was denied. She reapplied
and after a 2+ year wait she has finally qualified and it was retroactive until her first application.
She says most are denied the first time through. So hand in there, it is a process. She had an attorney helping her...maybe that helped.
I am sure that this will work out, it just is going to take time...but don't give up.

Inga is right...it sometimes takes many times for these things to get approved. Can you get unemployment? Or I is Inga's idea a possibility? I will pray AND send positive energy your way...love you friend...Karen
