About Me
I have been married 22 years to my college sweetie, we have 3 wonderful children...a senior, 8th grader and 5th grader. We live in BOOMER SOONER land, for those who don't know what that is, I am sorry for you (grin). I went lupus undiaganosed for 4 years and it has greatly affected my marriage and homelife which I am working hard to rebuild as I am starting to feel better on maintenance medications and decent pain managagement! Praise God for a GREAT rheumatologist...the fight has just begun, but I have hope again!

I have 3 kids, have been married 20 years. I became seriously ill 4 years ago and it took my dentist to encourage me to have an ANA done. I was diagnosed in March 2007.
Treatments
- Medrol Working / Worked
- I took two tapers last year and it pulled me out of the terrible pre-diagnosis (from a rheumy) flare...Side effects were restlessness and anxiety attacks, but the 2nd time I was on it, we tapered at 1/2 dose and my doc added an anti-anxiety (I already take an exended relief one) for the really bad days as a quick fix to the panic attack...and that worked well
- Plaquenil Working / Worked
- I began to feel like myself again after 5 months and then I flared, but I do feel it is working. No noticeable side effects.
- Topamax Working / Worked
- helps control my chronic migraines..side effects? I sometimes forget what I am going to say next...coming side effect....
Close Migraine Headaches
I have suffered migraines since I was 11. But 4 years ago, they became increasingly frequent then I got physically very sick and here 4 years later, I have been diagnosed with lupus and there seems to be connection between the two. I tried many triptan drugs, but had adverse effects from them. It has been a long road full of frustration and at times, depression... I have been married almost 21 years and we have 3 beautiful children...

- Fioricet Working / Worked
- Imitrex Not Working
- Adverse side effect
- Inderal Working / Worked
- Midrin Not Working
- Caused rebound headaches

- Adverse side effect
- Topamax Working / Worked
- But I cannot go above 150 mg
- Zomig Considering
