I've had shoulder pain for 4 years now and just visited a surgeon to se what can be done.
Treatments
- Ibuprofen Somewhat Helpful
- Dulls the pain, but don't attack the problem
- Surgery Too Soon to Tell
- just thought i'd try it
- Oxycodone Working / Worked
- Shoulder surgery for an arthritic joint. Helps the pain. makes me feel nauseous though, so I limit use.
- Prozac Not Working
- not helping at all
- Hydrocodone Too Soon to Tell
- dont know
Close Sports Injuries
Type: Rotator Cuff InjuriesI am attempting to cure a sore shoulder which has been getting worse for the last 4 years. I saw my doctor who sent me for X-rays and Ultra-Sound. Now a trip to a surgeon has uncovered that I need arthroscopic surgery to repair the shoulder. Apparently there is bone growth causing pain to the tissue. My concern is that I have been told by many people to be wary of messing with a shoulder......
Treatments
- Heat Not Working
- Ice Pack Somewhat Helpful
- For a short period of time it worked, which was basically freezing the pain.
- Physical Therapy Considering
- I can't see how "strengthening" a joint that is incredibly painful will help!!!
- Surgery Considering
- I am schedules for October 31st, Halloween..... hope that's not an omen......
- Physical Exercise Not Working
- It hurt far too much
