Hi all. I have been out of commission for TWO years. Wow. I have been going over all the old messages. Thanks to all. Anyway, I am now at stage 3 COPD. I am stil using the oxygen and stuff. I weaned off the steroids and now refuse to take them. I will get better or I won't. I now have 7 grandchildren and another on the way due April 2010.

I am so glad to hear you are out of the hospital. Are you doing ok? I have not been active here for a couple of months because of my own health issues. But, have promised to try to reconnect with everyone. God Bless! JoAnn

I surely know what u mean when u say u used to be active. My son and I it seems we fight constantly and I know it is because he doesn't understand completely why I can sit in that darn chair all day and not go out to work ...thought he watches me get to the car ..somedays are bad some aren't. But I so know how you feel. I wonder sometimes what is the point if my future is going to leave me dependent on others...but it is my call so i move my thoughts and go on. Big hug and glad you got to enjoy the grand kids!

Type: Adult AsthmaI am 47 YO and have copd/asthma.I amsick all the time andin the hoswpital alot. I am on oxygen therapy and steroiods and the side effects of the steroids are very unpleasant. I have been sick most ofmy kid's lives and want so much to be ableto play with my grand kids. I take numerous meds and if it wasn't for having God in my life I would never be able to deal with this. I just get a little down sometimes
Treatments
- Albuterol Working / Worked
- Taken in nebulized breathing treatments ebvery 4 to 6 hours daily. Side effects include shakiness and wakefulness and elevated heart rate
- Breathing Exercises Working / Worked
- Inhaler Working / Worked

Close COPD & Emphysema
I am 47 yo femalewioth copd/asthma stage II. I am on numerous meds and am hospitalized about every two weeks.I am on oxygen therapy. Thanks to supportive friends and family and having God in my life I am able to deal with the restrictions but I wantso much to spend good time with my grandkids. I have been sick all of my kids' lives.
