Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Type: Relapsing-remitting MSDiagnosed 6/07 after a rather nasty attack that landing me in the ER with what I believed was a stroke. This was my first real attack but I had many symptoms over the years, but being one of the male species, Dr’s were never in my vocabulary so pains and such were always ignored. I was diagnosed very quickly, it seems I met the McDonald Criteria on my first attempt, I finally passed a test without studying.
Treatments
- Avonex Working / Worked
- Started 6/07 with no progression to date, the side effects are much better now but it sneaks up and kicks your butt every once in a while anyway. I tell my wife that since the Avonex is made from Chinese Hamster Ovary Cells and since MS primarily affects woman that this combination makes me much more sensitive to her and woman’s issues in general. In other words I have a chick disease and inject ovaries, how can I not be more sensitive, she does not buy it either!
- Celexa Working / Worked
- Well actually it does nothing for me I only take it because it keeps others from swearing all the time. I am not sure how it works but when I take it I no longer hear others say This Guy is Fing Nuts Its like a anti swearing drug I guess!
- Provigil Working / Worked
- Makes the world go around. (400mg daily)
