glsd you are doing well. I am too. 2005 & 06 they said I would need surgery and would die with in 6 months. HA guess I showed them, I am well and feel great.

Close Hyperthyroidism
recently diagnosed with Hashimoto or Graves. Stuggling with swings from hyper to hypo
Treatments
- Methimazole Somewhat Helpful
- swung me hypo
- Tapazole Somewhat Helpful
- Helped with heart pounding but caused depression
Close Hypothyroidism
Sick for years, diagnosed and undiagnosed for years.July 07 finally diagnosed with Hashimotos and put on Carbimazole and started feeling better 3 days (severe hypo) then felt sick again. Lowered med swung back again. Always with that great place for 3 days in the middle. Trying to stay in great place. Now taking Armor 1/4 a grain every couple of days. The 4-6 year illness was hell: 24/7 migraines (some silent, some extremely painful). I seem to go from hypo to hyper very quickly.
Treatments
- Armour Thyroid Somewhat Helpful
- Because I swing hyper to hypo, hard to stabilize.
- Carbimazole Somewhat Helpful
- Had to switch to Armor as this med took me hypo
- Synthroid Not Working
- Hated this
