I'm so sorry that you are dealing with being without your kids besides dealing with worry about what might happen. You've armed your kids the best that you can. What about cell phones? I know it's an additional expense but do they have one? Heck, I'd almost program the Chicago police in it!

Oh Zip...dont be silly sister.... you have my ears anytime! I wish there were more I could do to help you out. Im doing ok and got through the rough patch with your help..so thank you!! Thoughts shifted a little today to D #1.........ugh..... Just have to learn how to tune them out. I love ya!

Close Breakups & Divorce
I am a divorced ( separated 9/07) mother of two. My son 5yr and my daughter 3yr have multiple food allergies. My husband has been a porn addict for 30+ years. When faced with the children s challenges he dove deeper in to his addiction and neglected us. He is now acting out in the community and has exposed our children to porn. I tried everything to save us talking, support groups,therapy. It didn't work. Divorced 2/09. Now facing single parenthood and finding the strength if forgot I had.
Treatments
- Family Therapy Not Working
- We went but he wouldn't admit to his addiction or affairs. Maintained I was crazy. Used it to appear good in the eyes of his family but was really snowing me.

- love my kitty--passed away in January :(

- I'm going for myself because I'm determined to heal and have something healthy to offer my future partner.

- working on recovery books. I'm feeling so much better.

- Attended a support group for women affected by their significan other's porn addiction everybody is working through their marriage but me and 2 other women.

Close Autism / Autism Spectrum
I have a son that is challenged by high functioning autism. He was diagnosed when he was 3 because he sill had echolalia. He is very bright and began reading before age 3. He has a high affinity for language and is learning Spanish. He has a fine motor delay and a strong need for the routine and the predictable. He is imaginative, affectionate and is mainstreaming in a public school kindergarden. He has social skills therapy, Speech, and OT at school. I take him to speech and OT w/ ins.
Treatments
- Behavior Management Working / Worked
- modeling with social stories. Did a great job.
- Brushing Therapy Working / Worked
- Hate doing it but it helps.
- Early Intervention Somewhat Helpful
- Did first steps which is funded thru the State.
- Occupational Therapy Working / Worked
- Failed food acceptance therapy once (SOS). But works with the fine motor delay.
- Picture / Word Schedules Working / Worked
- VERY Effective!!!!

In the process of a divorce. Father around but wondering how much he is willing to participate. He will be working 2 jobs to support his new life. I'm here in a state with no other family or support. I have an autistic son and a daughter with muliple food allergies. How will I do snow days, dr/therapy appmts, sickness, without help?
