Interests
I love music, especially stuff most people haven't heard of. Acoustic guitar makes me happy. I enjoy a good museum (DC for the win) and have really gotten into indie and foreign films that make you think. Oh yeah, and ninja monkeys. :)

Close Self-Injury
I've been cutting for a few years now... I'm in the minority in that I'm a 30+ year old male, but I'm looking for a place to find support and help with a vastly misunderstood problem.
Treatments
- Music Working / Worked
- I'm teaching myself guitar and it's amazingly therapeutic. I can lose myself in it and feel like I can communicate better through struck strings than spoken word.
- Psychotherapy Not Working
- I tried this a couple times but it was, in my opinion, a joke. I know for a fact it was the therapists, not the therapy itself, but I probably won't be trying it again.
- Talking Considering
- I really don't know how to feel about this... people tend to look at me and treat me differently, and nobody knows how to help if they haven't dealt with it before, so I'm extremely selective about talking about this.
