I'm still coming out of birth bliss and the usual newborn sleeplessness haze but WOW!  It's all so AMAZING!  Being a dad, being a family, being totally responsible for a helpless little baby's survival.  All NEW THINGS for me!  For those that have been wondering (thanks for asking!) she has been named.. she is Serisa Rose.  We took a good couple weeks to decide on the name- it's a BIG DECISION!  Or at least, we made it into a big decision ;-)  She's wonderful and doesn't fuss all that much (although when she does, it nearly kills me :-).  She's already in the first month changed noticiably. A bit bigger, more alert, she smiles, she's soo great.

It's not easy.. being a parent.. but it's absolutely worth it!  My favorite part is that every morning I get up with my baby girl, to let her mama sleep and we hang out. Sometimes I feed her a bottle, but always she ends up falling asleep on my chest under lots of blankets while we wait for the house to warm up.  There is NOTHING more peaceful and precious than a sleeping baby.. any parent will agree.  

Mom is doing really well.  Her post partum is going good.. healing nicely, taking it easy, and happily sacrificing most of her night's sleep in care of the kid.  Heather is my hero.. mostly because I'm such a grouch when I don't sleep :)
