I suffer several illnesses including Asthma, IBS and Depression. I recently lost my dad and joined DS. It's been very difficult to survive his death but here at DS, I've received a lot of support that has helped me to keep going on with my life, one day at a time and understand that I'm not alone.

It took me years to get over the loss of my husband..gone since 1988...sorry to hear about the loss of your Father. They say first 2 years are the worst...Time heals then the good memories take over.

Close Sleep Apnea
I was dignosed today with OSA and now the doctor wants to do surgery on my nose because he says that I'm barely breathing through my nose. -mouth breather, by the way-He says that he'll let try the CPAP Study first but if that doesn't help, he says that I need nose/palet surgery.
Close Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
I'm 27 and I was diagnosed with IBS 3yrs ago. But I've have it since I was 13.
Treatments
- Bentyl Working / Worked
- Helped the pain but my body got used to it. So, it stopped working after a while
- Chamomile Working / Worked
- works for the pain
- Librax Working / Worked
- Wonderful for pain. Causes only a bit of drowziness.
- Zelnorm Working / Worked
- Gave me diarreah but that helped to take the pain away and stopped the horrible abdominal cramps I got with IBS.
Open Sexual Abuse
I was sexually assualted and recently saw my attacker recently and he recognized me and smiled.
Open Asthma
Type: Adult AsthmaI'm 27 and I was recently diagnosed with Asthma, Sleep Apnea and Mitral Valve Prolapse

Open Rape
I was sexually assaulted in school but nothing was ever done. Saw my atacker again few weeks ago. Lives 5 mins away from my house.

Type: Loss of a ParentI've suffered from Depression sine I was 12. Now, I lost my father(66)this morning and I don't think I can get through this.

Open Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
I was diagnosed with PTSD several years ago, but I wasn't surprised because of everything that I've been through.

- Didn't work. It just severe side effects that made me look like I was having seizures.
- Psychotherapy Not Working
- I still suffer from the effects of PTSD.
- Seroquel Somewhat Helpful
- Supportive Care Not Working
