Yesterday we flew to Makinaw island in the four seater plane.. It was a fabulous flight.. closer to the ground than a huge plane so that you get to see everything along the way.. I am so hooked on flying now.. It got dark on the way back and we saw a fire work display beneath us.. Craig stopped off to refuel.. like you would to fill up a car.. unbelievable.. Makinaw island is in Lake Michigan and they don't have any cars there only horses and bicycles. We spent the day enjoying the town with it's pretty wooden houses, shops and bars and visited a butterfly garden.. another great day..
Today we went clothes shopping for the second time.. only this time I was really on the ball and made the most of it, as clothes here are incredibly cheap compared to the uk and better quality too.. Also went to a supermarket to get a few bits for the curry night.. Beth's mum and I cooked a great curry together, whilst Beth and Craig went bowling.. and we had a lovely evening enjoying a meal and having a fun time.. another great day.. We didn't have time for the helicopter flight.. so that will happen tomorrow.. time just flies by here.. literally at times..
More fun to be had tomorrow which I will write about then and Tuesday I am taking a train to Lindamaes in Oregon.. It will be a 48hr trip along the Canadian border.... I am loving this so much and you are all in our thoughts here.. Meeting Beth and Michelle has confirmed to me how close we have all become here.. We are all such special friends.. Huge love and hugs to all xxx

Inka I am so glad that you are having such a wonderful time in our beautiful state. The more I read about your trip the more I believe your CA125 is going to be so damn low you doctor is going to flip. I'm looking forward once again to hear about the rest of your trip.
Huge love to you too!

It warms my heart so much hearing about your adventures. I will bet that train ride is going to be amazing. Will you leave for home from Oregon, or do you go back to Beth's? Love you.

Welcome to the US!! I wish you was in the north carolina area. Would love to meet you. You have been so supportive and kind to me, I truly appreciate your friendship. I hope you enjoy your adventure. I am soooo jealous. It was my dream to travel once my children were grown. Since that has not happened, I will enjoy my time at home. Enjoy!!!!

Not sure when you get on the train, but I think it is today, right? If you are still there to read this...your room is ready in Oregon girlie! I agree, your CA125 will surely be lower after all this fun. Vacations have lowered mine...and I am a believer! hugs, lindamae
