The perinatologist said that Dani's blood flow looked ok on u/s....he wasn't too concerned about anything. That makes me nervous....the farther I get the better it is for her lungs but the greater the chance for anemia, hydrops, liver & brain problems. Just makes me nervous & scared to go too far in this pregnancy. I hope that makes sense to you.....it does in my head & heart not necessarily as I write it out though.
Then I went to my OB. The second I walked in the door his secretary told me they had to change my appointment next week to Wednesday from Thursday. His flight leaves on Friday night & he needs to have everything "wrapped" up before that. When I saw Dr. Chan he said I looked great, asked how the u/s went. I told him it was ok but that I am miserable. My rib cage has expanded 6 inches since being pregnant, my feet & hands are swollen, I am throwing up again, have heartburn, can't eat much, my boobs are killing me, & I have ligament pain.....the only thing that isn't hurting are my hips! He laughed & said at least you are getting to experience everything!!!! I told him with the 114 degree weather (that is what it was on Sunday) ~ I am done with these wonderful pregnancy experiences!!!
So, he said if I don't have the baby before he leaves I would be followed by 2 other high risk OBs. Then we talked about the risks & such & how they would do further fetal screening when he got back from his wedding. Shortly after he measured my belly & such he said he wanted to do a non-stress test on Wednesday in the office instead. He said if there is "ANY" variation on the monitor then I will go to c-section ~ he winked & smirked when he said it!!!! This could really be happening.....I could be having my little girl next week!!!!!! Is it strange to wish for some kind of variation on a non-stress test.....I am just so scared to go too long....too much of a good thing?!?! Sorry, rambling now....
I have found the joy of swimming now. It is a wonderful way to spend hot evenings trying to cool off. I love how I feel soooo much lighter in the water (I have gained 20lbs so far) & cooler!!!! Have I told you all how hot it has been?!?! The heat is MISERABLE!!!!!!!!! I hate being in a bathing suit but it sure beats being naked!!!! Wow....that is a scary thought & I will stop writing before I make myself sick!!!!

how exciting. she is right around the corner. it is scary but it will all be worth it in the end you'll see. you wont even believe she's yours even when you hold her. you'll have to pinch yourself. so excited for you that i'm bursting. keep us posted.

I agree that it sounds like your doctor is going to try to deliver Dani before he leaves. I think he is afraid to leave you in the hands of someone else and come back from his wedding to find you had to deliver while he was gone. I also think that he is like you and afraid to let this pregnancy go too far due to the risks. She is developed enough that she will be fine if she comes now. She may need a brief stay in the NICU until she is breathing well on her own, but she will be fine. I am so excited for you I could just burst. I can't wait to hear what happens next week. Hugs, Fern

The heat is horrible when one is in the last stages of a PG. Enjoy the swimming, I know I loved my wading in the lake just before Orrin graced us with his presence. Dani will be here before you know it, healthy and ready to greet the world. I pray all goes well next week.

URG, sorry to hear about you having to deal with so many preggo symptoms along with the hot weather. I know it isn't easy but keep your eye on the prize.
