I have been telling everyone that I am sure I am not going to have Danicka anytime soon. Call it wishful or positive thinking, I guess I am trying to will this little girl to stay healthy & safe inside of me for several more weeks. But, as much as I like to think she is going to stay in here longer, I am getting rather nervous.
The room is ready for furniture. My DH & friends are going to put it all together tonight for me. I am planning on washing all the clothes & blankets tomorrow....wow, that is going to take all day!!! I have cleaned the floors....it is all ready for the crib....all ready for our daughter. But, as long as I have waited for her....I am not ready for her yet!
As I was cleaning the floor in the nursery my cell phone rang...yikes...the perinatologist's office was on caller ID. They were asking me if I had my antibody level done yet. Of course not...that was on the calendar for early tomorrow morning. I am not supposed to see her & my OB until Thursday....I thought I had plenty of time. But, no the two of them are in cahoots & are already talking about the plan if my antibody level has gone up. My positive thinking is starting to waver some. I REALLY don't want to deliver Danicka yet. I know this sounds selfish, but I have a baby shower on the 13th...there is SOOOO much we don't have yet. Granted, she won't be coming home right away, but to have a baby before the shower...ughh!!!! I just want a strong & healthy daughter....

Oh sweetheart, I really hope that Danicka stays a few more weeks incubating. I can only imagine the feeling of uncertainty of the situation. I hope that the news tomorrow is only good.

i felt the same way - didnt think i'd have charlotte til 2 weeks past my due date, then my bp skyrocketed and i was induced so you never know. dont worry about the shower. if you have her before the shower you'll just get all those gifts after. you know jews are superstitious so i wasnt going to have my shower til after she was born healthy. anyway, we got so much stuff afterwards w/o a shower that i decided to cancel it. plus you really dont need that much. you'll see. take a deep breath. you're going to be great.

I am hoping that she stays inside and continues to grow and develop before making her debut. But if not, it is not so bad to have the shower after the baby. It happened to my friend. She delivered 9 weeks early. But I will be hoping that doesn't happen for you!

I can only imagine all the flurry of emotions & activity that must be swirling around you! I will say extra prayers of health & happiness for you and your family!
Keep the faith strong! Your blessed little one will know when her time is right! I can only imagine how excited she is see you too. I imagine she is already smiling knowing she will be in your arms so soon!

I think your little cutie will hold off until after the baby shower. So glad to hear of the excellent care you are receiving. Once you get the room all done it will all seem so real. Message to Danicka - let mommy have her shower!

I pray for a strong and healthy little girl for you. And it's Ok to have the baby before the shower, DH and I have been so afraid of jincksing the PG that we wont' be having a shower until after baby has arrived. August 8th, is our shower date. Parinoid I know, but just in case something went wrong I didn't want a whole lot of baby stuff before baby was here. A bit of a minimalist approach. :-) Good luck.
