My wife and I have been married …
My wife and I have been married for 4 years and through invetro, we have new born twins at home. I need someone to …
Ok, all I have to say is that the disorganization of my house is driving me absolutely insane!!!!!!!! I can't handle it anymore....I am getting the nursery done if I have to pay someone to hog tie my hubby to help me!
I painted the first coat of pink in Dani's room. I am not so sure about the color though...it reminds me of cotton candy! To be honest I am not the girliest of girls (I have never liked pink) so it is kind of shocking to me. I need to do one more coat & then it is on to the jungle mural. I am done for the day though...I am not going to over do it. I tried to get pics of the pink to post here but with the sun coming in the window....it really isn't that clear...I will try when the sun goes down some.
My shower went wonderfully. My co-workers were great to me ~ well to Dani! I got the bassinet I registered for, MANY outfits, blankets, books, and one nurse even made a beautiful baby quilt. I will try to get a pic of it soon (it goes back to that disorganization again!). I got some great little helpful things from some recent moms....they know the good things to get! One friend even bought me premie diapers....I can't believe how tiny they are!!!!!
Ok, I am going to go find some lunch & take a nap. I am going to dinner with my family tonight for my aunt's b-day & need to get some rest before going to meet them. My BIL is also staying with us for a day or two....hopefully him & hubby will work on the bathroom remodel more too :) Hugs to you all!!!!

I hope that things get together soon I know that would relieve a lot of your anxiety. If I were there I'd hog tie your hubby for you ;) or I'd have my DH do it since I'm preggo and shouldn't be doing those type of things.
I'm so glad to hear that the shower was so great, it's so wonderful to have people in our lives that are so good to us.
Have fun at dinner tonight

Sounds like more than nesting:) Remodeling and nesting, you poor moma:) It will all come together, even if you do have to hog tie your hubby.... Glad you had a great shower. I feel the same way about pink too. It does look so adorable on baby girls though. Good luck with finishing and organizing. Have fun out tonight. Big hugs, Clynne

I had the same problem during my spals pregnancy (that my pregnancy after all my losses) and really wanted the nursery done. It made me feel that I was believing that my baby would come home from the hospital. I had picked the green paint color during my first pregnancy of that go-round of trying. The reason was that I could put pink and/or purple with it for a girl and blue and/or red with it for a boy. I love the color, but my older boys insisted it looked girly. However, once I got the comforter, dust ruffle, valance in there, they started to see my vision come together. His comforter is a patchwork quilt with blue, green, yellow in pastels and bright red in primary. It has turtles, frogs, and dragonflies on it. I also bought a frog that matches to hang on the wall and went to the craft store and bought wood cutouts to match the theme. I hand painted them and hung them with the frog which is like a flat stuffed animal. I also bought the wooden letters of his name and painted them to match and hung them above the others in an arch. It looks so cute! Once I did that, the boys said it finally looked like a boys room. I have since added some other shelves and nic-nacs. It turned out great and Ben loves it. He also loves turtles and reptiles. He hasn't been exposed to real frogs, but he sure loves the stuffed ones. I told the guys all along that I knew my child that I was carrying and that I had an intuition about what was appropriate for the room. They laughed at me at the time, but now understand because Ben truly loves his room. I have also been told that it evokes a feeling of calm when you walk in there and I definitely felt that during my pregnancy. I sure needed some calm while worrying about whether he would make it here or not!!! My sil did my neices room in a very vivid pink and at first I wasn't too sure about it either. But as she added the pieces to it, the color wasn't so overwhelming. She had distressed white crib, changing table, and bookshelf. She added a plaid valance and curtains that were not child-like in anyway until you saw them in the room. I really like that. She also added rocking horses and there was a border with them. It was one of the prettiest infant girls rooms I have ever seen. So don't be reluctant about the color until you see everything in there with it all put together. Believe in your vision of what the finished product will be.
Enjoy the birthday party and don't do too much. Hugs, Fern

Im so happy that you had such a wonderful time at your shower (and that you made Rich look at each and every gift, lol!) Tell him that the poor baby is going to have to be bathed in the sink until she is 10 if he doesnt get his butt in gear! Seriously though, I am over the moon that you are getting to enjoy such wonderful moments like your own baby shower, this has been a long time coming. Love you honey! xoxo

Sounds like a wonderful shower! The diapers sound so cute. I remember when I was pregnant with Ronan and I would look in the rear view mirror at the carseat and imagine what it would be like to see him looking back at me. It was so amazing on the ride home from the hospital to see my little guy. Take care!

Ok Dulcy, I hate to break it to you but the disorganization is only the beginning. I didn't get my changing table or dresser in the nursery til after Lily was born, and then it took days to find the time to get everything put away in drawers. Talk about making you crazy! But now there's blankets, burp cloths, nipple cream, a swing....and lots more all over the house. But it's great!
