About Me
I am a 37 year old single parent of two, a boy 14 and a girl 12. Life has not been easy for me these last few years. In 2001, my sister died a few months later my mother died unexpectedly. Two years later my niece (22), also died, on her mother's b-day. My b-day is on Sept.11, and on sept.26, of this year I was diagnosed with lupus. Through all my hardships, I allow God's faith to sustain me. I am a true believer that we are more than conquers through Christ whom strengthens us. To all those who are going through remember ...And this too shall pass

Hi, I'm 37, my b-day was on 9/11 and on 9/26 I found out I had lupus. I am a single parent with 2 children a boy 14, and a girl 12.

- Celebrex Considering
- I have not tried it yet.Too afraid I was on vioxx and it reminds me of that drug, plus I'm on too many pain pills. I would like to take as few as poosble
- Poetry Working / Worked
- This is a great way for me to vent. I started writing poetry when I becmae ill. Whenever I'm feelin down I read my poems, it's amazing what a few inpsiring words can do.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- It seems to be my mircale drug. I t got me out of my bed and doing housework for the first time in years
- Carisoprodol Working / Worked
- it helps relieve my bone pain. but it makes me tired like I need that
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- it helps sometimes depends on what kind of day I'm having
Close Bereavement
I lost my mom,sister and niece within 3 yrs. This does not include a grandparent, 2 cousins, and favorite uncle I lost. It all seems like a blur when I look back at it. But I know God was carrying me thru that terrible time in my life. There is no way I could have done it w/o him

- Nothing relieves stress and tension like a good cry

- learned some good tools for coping. But nothing heals wombs like time

- I would not be here if it was not for God and the prayer of others!

- Remembering is hard in the beginning. It took some time before I could remember without getting sad or angry
Open Endometriosis
I kept getting ovarian cyst. The doctors would perform surgery, and before I could go back for my 3 week check-up I would have another cyst. Some of them would be the size of a grapefruit. I had a total of 6 surgeries to remove the cyst. After surgery #3, my dr. found out I have endometriosis. I had laser surgery last year to remove the endo. It worked. But unfortunately this was the beginning of lupus for me. I was disgnose in September.
Treatments
- Laser Surgery Working / Worked
- After 5 yrs of pain found out about this surgery on Web MD and it worked for me.
- Ortho Evra Not Working
- Surgery Not Working
- 6 surgeries to remove ovarian cyst they did not work but the laser surgery did.
