Journal Entry for October 22, 2007 Mood
Monday, October 22, 2007

It has been a really bad weekend. First I had to get a shot of toradol to relief my pain calling my husband home from work on Friday afternoon to take me to the doctors. He had the car we are sharing and I needed help with my 3 month old. Anyway, got home, popped 2 percs and 1 flexeril and tried to sleep. I hate being alone when I don't feel good so I sat on the couch. My hubby took the baby on Friday AND Saturday night so I could rest and recover. Of course that really ment that I felt even guiltier for not being able to be the best mom I can be. Also, I ran out of pain meds 10 days before my next perscription should be filled. I'm worried about telling my doctor in case he won't give me more. He wants me to stop taking them all together--it isn't that I don't want to, but I am REALLY scared to. What will my life be without them? Beside the major surge in pain that the percocet did NOT help--I have this gnarly and terrible foot pain. I also have tingling arms and legs and weak leg muscles and I don't really know why.

To be honest--I'm a little concerned I might have MS--

I am so sorry you are living in chronic pain. I had to take morphine last night because of my back pain and thankfully feel better today. Please discuss your concerns with your doc and what about withdrawals if you run out? That can be dangerous! I hope you have a doctor you can trust and vice versa. Hope you feel better today too.

I understand your fear of running out. Before I got the Dr I have now,I was always afraid too. I hope you can be honest with your DR,hang in,I know how hard it is. Don't feel bad about not being a good Mommy I am sure your baby knows you love him and your husband is willing to help you. All these bad feelings are not good for you. if you need to talk I am here.

I to have terrible foot pain. My FM started with foot pain that just kept working it's way up until it covered my entire body. Something that helps my foot pain is Peppermint foot lotion mixed with Lidocane (script needed) gel. At night I start with my feet and rub it in then do they same to my calves. It puts me right to sleep. Please don't give up hope and to anything you'll regret. I have an 8 year old daughter and had cancer stage 4 20% chance to live.. I looked death right in the face but I just heald on to my kid and puched my way through. I al so lucky to have this time with my baby girl so please get help ASAP.

oh im so sorry you are in such awful pain.i have had fibro for almost 9 years now ,but my 3 girls were older.i dont know how you manage with a small baby to care for ,while you are in so much pain and discomfort. It is hard enough without a litle one to care for ,so you should be commended that you are coping aswell as you are.i,do understand your fear of running out of meds and your dr not wanting you to have more.i also have really bad back problems and am on strong meds for thaat.the medicine question is one which not only crops up with my dr ,but some of my family dont understand the need.my answer is ,i dont take them for fun, iwant some kind of quality to my life.i,dont want to be constantly in bed or crying in pain, and the meds help with this.i`m sure having jusst gone through a pregnancy ,it has flared up your fibro aswell.your dr should be understanding of this ,so try not to worry ,if you need something and the pain is very bad ,i would contact him.he is there after all to help you. as for the pains in your feet, its something i have had for along time with fibro.i worried as i didnt know why ,until my friend who also has the condition ,told me she also gets it.do you get a stabbing ,burning sensation??ive had it all night tonight ,and i take morphine and it hasnt touched it ,the same with the tingling in the wrists and arms.i find i cant write a letter properly any more ,because once my hands go numb .my writing gets too bad! try not to fret ,and do talk to your dr,pozfem is right ,going through withdrawls is not good for you .i did that one christmas ,when my surgery closed before we could get my meds.i spent all of the holiday miserable and in pain,so i would definately speak to either your own doctor or one who is more sympathetic to fibro .not all doctors believe the ammount of pain we go through ,and just having a new baby ,has probably agravated your symptoms.i,do hope you get the help you need.if you need anyone to talk to ,i am always here for you, with love and hugs .sharon xxx
