Hi Everyone,
I feel awful & I'm so sick & tired of being sick,it's not funny.
I'm still coughing,my throat is sore,my ears are aching & feel full & the headache is back too.
My blood sugar was over 11 this morning & I had been getting many more normal readings & had started feeling some better & then Friday late afternoon,my throat got so sore,I had a hard time trying to eat my supper & all weekend, it stayed sore,it's kind of scratchy feeling this moring, as well as being sore.
I think I'll get my Prince to take me to the medical clinic at our Doctor office,when he gets home from work,he is usually home by 4:30 & the clinic starts at 5 until 7:30 pm.
It's just for patients who have a family doctor in that office.
Well thats about it for now.
We have lots of mud & water laying every where from all the snow melting.
It's really dull & gray looking out here today,with a 60% chance of rain.
Oh Bliss! Oh Joy!

Guess I'll have some lunch & take somw Tylenol # 3,with codiene & read for a while & have a nice long nap.
My prince called from work to see how I am & I asked him to take me to the clinic & he said yes,he would,I told him,if I'm sleeping to wake me up when he gets home,but I think I'll, set the alarm clock to wake me up around 4 pm,so I can, be ready to go when he gets here & can have my car warmed up & ready to go.
Yeah that sounds like a good plan to me.

It's good to be home.
We had a good trip to & home from our dear daughter's.
Had a good weekend ,but busy,my Prince got the painting done of our dear daughter's office & it looks really nice.
We spent lots of time at different arenas watching 2 hockey games, that our eldest grandson played in,he got 2 assists in one game ,one was in Cobourg & the other one was about 20 minutes away,one Friday night at 9Pm,the other Sat. night at 7 pm. & on Sunday morning we went to see the youngest grandson for his hockey practice for 11;30 am.
We really do like to see them play & practice.
Of Course my Prince,thier Grandpa,played hockey with both boys in the basement,they take turns being in the net,then the other to take shots on the net,they have lots of fun doing that with grandpa.
They like me to play Monopoly with them,so we did that too & i helped the youngest grandsomn with som homework assingments,he is in grade 3,you would not believe the stuff they expect the kids to know at 8 years of age,anyway betwen me & his mommy helping he got it all done.
He had a bit of flu Friday night, but was better by night time Sat.
Hopefully no one else gets it.
Our son-in-law watched the Nascar Race with My Prince & they kooled at auto trader magazines too,seems to be a favourite pass time for them,when there is nothing else to do.
It's soooo nice & mild here today, the snow is melting ,into slush.
It's + 2-4 degrees.

It's good to be home.

It is beautiful here today also..but the weatherman says we are to get 60% chance of snow..or freezing rain..we need the moisture..but still would like to enjoy the nice weather a couple more days, all this week we have our Grandson everyday from 8:30 til 1:30 as there is no school..so tomorrow he wants to make a big snowman, and he wants me to watch Over the Hedge with him and Barnyard.should be a good day!!

Hey CanadianGal,
I've been hiding in my nice warm waterbed,trying to keep warm & get better.
My Prince was home all last week, sick with bronchitis,he went back to work Monday.
I have the ear/throat infection & bronchitis again.
I see my Family Dr.Paradis this afternoon,re: Diabetes Control & Blood Pressure.
I'm feeling a little better,but still quite wheezy & still caoughing,so we shall see what he thinks.
I'm fine if I stay still,the more I move around,the more I cough & my voice is off too,almost like larengitis.
I went to the London Cardiac Institute last Thursday & saw a Cardiac Doc ( Dr. Yee ) about the black-outs.
They did an ECG & the results for it were normal,that tells them,the problem is not on the outside of my heart,for the black-outs,they are going to set up ,for me to have a minor surgery,they will make a small incision & put a small recorder just under the skin,that will record my every heart beat & when I have another black-out,it will tell them ,what my heart was doing before,during & after the black-out.
Then they will know what is causing them & know what to do about it.
This will take place between 10 days & 2 weeks.
I saw Dr. Yee March 1st,2007 afternoon. So it should be done soon.
We had freezing rain & more snow,that day & it's been sunny but cold this week,we did get about 4-5 inches more snow, Tuesday night.
Dr. Paradis said to keep using the puffers.
I'm going to keep taking it easy & resting as much as possible,to keep getting better.

I'm new here,57 years of age,will turn 58 the end of April this year.
I'm married for 39 going on 40 years to a wonderful man.
We have 2 adult children,a girl & a boy,both are married to thier best friends.
We have 2 handsome gransons,who live eat & sleep, Hockey,one age 8 the other age 11,thier dream is to play NHL Hockey,when they grow up.
In Cobourg ,they are known as extremely good hockey players & called the Campbell Brothers or the Campbell Boys.
I have type 2 Diabetes was Diagnosed May of 1997,Treatment is at present $ Diamicron MR tablets daily,Novo-Rapid Insulin & Levemir Insulin.
I also have Osteo Arthritis,Fibromyalgia,Diabetic Neuropathy in feet & hands,Chronic Fatigue Syndrome,Asthma, Many Life Threatening Allergies,Recurrent Depression,Panic Attacks,Chronic Anxiety,Chronic Ear Problems (since the age of 6 weeks),Near Sighted.
I'm also trying desparately to lose weight & go WeightWatcher meetings,but
now,my weight is just going up & up,it's totally frustrating.
The leader told me,she thinks it's from stress & all the changes my body is going thru & she feels that once the doctors give me a diagnosis & treatment,I will start losing pounds again.
She also said it's more difficult for me,due to the fact,I'm on so much medication for my
many health problems.
Been having black-out spells ,started September of 2005 & had the latest one October 31st,2006,so doctors are trying to find out, what is causing the spells,so they will know how to treat me for them.
Saw a Neurologist September
6th,2006 & had quite a few tests done & saw him again for
follow-up January 17th 2007 & he said all the results from the tests came back fine,so no problems with the brain,which is a relief,but at the same time means,I still do not have a diagnosis,so he is going to make an appointment for me to see a Cardiologist & we will go on from there.
I have no warning,just black-out & end up on the sidewalk or floor,I'm only out a short time & confused when I come too,so far,I've broken a bone in my right arm & scraped the heck of my leg,cracked 3 ribs & scraped up my upper arm & sholder.
I do have a Diabetic Support Group ,we have meetings once a month except January,July & August.
Sorry this is soooo Long.

Snow..Nobody deserves all that you have been diagnosed with , I am sure it is all overwhelming..and different medications for different sicknesses, Have any of the pills reacted to one another? II would be getting me one of those pilll boxes that is seperated rom Monday to Friday and I also would be keeping a Journal..of your daily routine,...Please don Not laugh at me when I say this t you..But have you had your teeth checked lately( like go to a dentis lately? Bad..rotten teeth play a huge roll..in being sick..Also have you always gotten print out from the Phamasists and checked to see what the side effects you will expereince from each one? My Personal feeling..Go see a Natural Pathic Doctor who deals with Alternated Medicine..Or go visit this site..www.emofree.com look it over and I will keep searching for answers ..the black outs( chec to see if you have Vertigo)...and weight gain..is likely from ysome of the medications you are..One thing at a time..Stay strong and if you cannot handle it all Let go and let god take over..( I am not a preacher) please don't think that, just a suggestion..Hang in there..Take a deep breath...........Hold.......release slowly, do that a few times..

Hey there CanadianGal,
It's really,really cold & windy here, we did get about 5 centmeters of snow,not too much,but add that onto ,what we already had & it's maybe about 9-10 centimeters so far,but the snow squall storm warning is still in effect for here.

My Prince surprised me with a really nice card & a nice Valentines candle.
That was nice.
I did buy some of those pill box thingys for the pills, it does help to have then ready for 2 weeks at a time.
No,so far no interaction,reactions between the meds.
I do go to the dentist regularly for check-ups & cleanings & whatever needs to be done,I only have the front ones & some side ones on top & front ones & some sides ones on the bottom & one in the back on one side,but the dentist said they are in good shape,concidering all the meds,I have to take.
Yes! I do get the print-outs from the phamasists & always read them,so I know what to expect,in case I would have a reaction.
The black-outs are not caused from Vertigo & you are correct ,as far as the weight gain, being from some of the meds,but the risks from not taking them are worse,so I take them & do what I can to try not to gain anymore weight. It is extremely frustrating at times.
I can not always ,be thinking of it or I would drive myself around the bend worrying about it.
Which does no good anyway!!!!!!
The nuerologist found-out, I do not have Epilepsy & he found no problems with my brain,so that is good,next I am to see a Heart speciailist & I'm waiting for that appointment,to see what they might find out.
Heart disease does run, in my Mother's side of the Family & Diabetes & Heart Disease do go together,so it might be something, to do with that,anyway,we will have to wait & see.
Yes ,you are correct one thing at a time & I always say one day at a time.
I do try to stay strong,of course some days are harder than others & I do have some down times,but then I say a little prayer & get right back up again & am strong again.
I know Let go & Let God.
I am a born again Christian.
Many people are praying for me & lifting me up to God,it does help knowing that.
Yep,I do that too with the deep breathe thing.
Whatever works,that's what I try to do.
I did go to a Natural Path Doctor a long time ago & had a bad experience & so did my dear daughter,so we do not go that route,but my Dear Daughter is into everything natural & is always researching ,to see about natural stuff ,to see if there is anything natural, that would not interact with my meds & might help me.
She did get me started,taking Colostrum Lozenges,to give my immune system a boost & I do not have so many infections as I did before.Which is nice & I do feel better while taking them.
Yes Grandchldren are great.We have two hansome Grandsons,they are ages 8 & 11,they live about 3-4 hours away,so we do not see them as much as we'd like to ,but do the best we can.
We talk on the phone & we go when we can.
We are hoping the weather will clear up,so we can go there this Friday & come home next Monday.
It will be soooo nice to see them all agai & to get to see both boys play hockey again.

Hey there CanadianGal,
We had a windy ,snowy storm here ,late afternoon Thursday Feb.22 & all last night.
Did not get too much snow,it's bright & sunny but cold again here today.
Did not get out to the walking track last night,as the news was saying stay home,unless you have to go out.
I have an appointment for March 1st,2007 at 3:15 pm,to get hooked up with a heart halter monitor,I will have to wear it for 48 hours,oh! Joy! Oh! Bliss! Then after that test is over,I will be given an appointment with the Cardiologist for Arthymia,to see if that's the problem.I can't wait to get the test done & see the Cardiologist & get a diagnosis & treatment,so I can get my independence back & start driving again.
Enough! Enough already!!! I want my life back!!!!!!.

Hi Everyone,
I'm feeling very sleepy,& cold this morning,due to a very high blood sugar reading of 14.6,which is not the norm for me,I'm trying to stay awake until I eat lunch before hitting the waterbed.i think I'll put meat in the croclpot for supper,then we have pasta & asparagus & mushrooms left over from last night,so supper will be easy that way.

Hi Everyone,
Ir's freezing rain here in Southern Ontario & has been since before 12 noon,then we are to get snow on top of the freezing rain,Oh! Joy! Oh Bliss!,not going out today,that's for sure,what is it doing where you live. My Prince (husband)went out to church & made it home,just as it started. I slept in my Arthric knees have been hurting all week & the fibro is acting up too,feels like tiny ants feet walkng all over,makes my itchy,so I take attarrx for the itchies & it makes me sleepy,so It think it's time to take another one & an asian pear for my snack & my library book & climb in our nice warm waterbed & get all comfy & warm (I was just frezzing Sat. afternoon( I get my B12 needle on the 8th of March & get frezzing before that,feels like ice in my veins & bones,sooo coooold from the inside out,( the waterbed is the only way I can get warm)& eat the pear,they are so good,and read until I can no longer keep my eyes open ,then have a sleep & get up in time to fix supper,not sure yet what we will have,something easy.

Sorry I have not written in a while.
I'm sick again with ears/throat infections as well as bronchitis,again.
I think this is about the 4th time this fall/winter.
My prince was home all last week sick with bronchitis,he has never had that before & was really sick with it.
He took me to London Ontario last Thursday to the Cardiac Institute,I was supposed to get hooked up with a heart halter monitor & wear it for 48 hours,but when we got there,they had some cancellations,so they bepassed the monitor & did an ECG & I got to see the Cardiac Doctor,Dr. Yee.
He said the ECG was normal,so that tells him that the problem is not with the outside of my heart causing me to have the black-outs.
He is going to arrange a minor surgery for me where they make a little cut & will put in a little recorder,just under the skin. It will record my every heart beat & when I have another black-out,it will tell them what my heart was doing before,during after the black-out,this will tell them,whst is causing the black-outs & he will,then know what needs to be done,so I will not have the black-outs anymore.
He said this would take place with in 10days to 2 weekd time,so soon.
I came away from the appointment feeling pretty good,sinceI saw the doctor now & will not have to wait the 3 months,that was when my appointment to see him was already made before.
Also knowing that something will be done to findout what is causing the black-outs & then that what ever needs to be done will be done.
So I am encouraged bye what was said & will be done.
It's snowing here now & has been for quite a few hours.
Today was bright & sunny,but extremely cold.

How you doing?
The weather& temperature has changed again & it's colder again & I'm feeling better,finally.My Chest is still a little tight & I'm still coughing,so still using my puffers on a daily basis.
I finally got the date, of my outpatient surgery, to have the internal loop recorder put in,it will be done March 29th at 9 am,we have to be there at 8 am to register.
It's just a general,so they will freeze the area & then cut a tiny incision & put the recorder just under the skin & do whatever they have to for closing it up.
Wow I finally see a light at the end of my tunnel.
Dr.Raymond Yee,said this recorder, will record the info ,they need to find out ,what has been causing the black-outs,then he will know what needs to be done,to fix the problem.
I also made an appointment to see my ear Specialist for Arpil 5th.
So he can check & see if there has been any changes with my ears, my family Dr, Paradis,asked me to go see Dr. Hanson ( ear Doc ),because I've had quite a few ear infections again this fall & winter.
Unfortunely there is nothing he can do to make my ears better,I have holes in both ear drums,but,it does no good to try to patch the,cause I had that done when I was 15 & it did not take,so no sense in putting myself thru that again & that's what Dr. Hanson said last time saw him. I will ask him to write a note to be put in my chart at Dr. Paradis office,to put me on antibiotics,to clear the infection up & if i get a lot of fluid in my ears, to do the same thing ,so I can get better sooner,otherwise,I'm sick sooooo long.
it's cold & very windy here yesterday & today too.

Hi Everyone,
Hope this finds you all well.
We had a busy day,10:30 am was my hearing test.
The good news is,my hearing is very slightly going down hill,but not enought to have to get a hearing aid for my right ear,he did say I could have surgery to patch the eardrum,but at this point it is totally my choice.
My choice is to not have the surgery, unless it becomes absolutely necessary.
Any type of surgery sends my blood sugars for a loop & I do not want that,they are still bouncing a bit, since the minor sugery I had March 29th & I'm doing everything to get them ,under tight control again.
Then we went to pay a big junk off on my drugstore account.
Next stop was at Home Hardware for a power bar for my microwave.
Then to A&P store for strawberries we got 6 pounds.
Strawberries are my favourite along with black raspberries,blueberries, black cherries.
I love all berries & they are soooo good for us.
Next stop was the hair stylist,finally got my hair coloured,went back to the red.
Tried a medium ash brown with all over light blonde highlights last time.
I liked it when it was first done,but not when it started to grow out.
I really like the red,but it has to be a deep red,for me to like it.
We are going out for brunch Sunday,the family is getting together to surprise my middle brother,his 50th birthday was Friday & his wife told me, he's depressed about turning 50, she thought it would be a nice surprise for him,if we all met for brunch.
Our dear daughter & dear son-in-law & dear grandsons will not he there, as the live too far away & the youngest one is having his last hockey tournament of the season, all this weekend in Toronto.
Our dear son & dear daughter-in-law will be there.
After the hair colour was finished,we went to Walmart to pick-up a few things & had a bite to eat at MacDonalds,then from there we went to The Real Canadian Superstore for groceries & finally home.
Put everything away & had a nap,then it was time for supper,called & spoke with my Dad & my Mom for a while.
Then cut my Prince's ( Husband )hair.
Now on here & then will have my snack,read & then it's to bed for this girl.
Sunday am will have to go to get a birthday card for my brother & I need a new lipstick or two.

How are you doing now?? Feeling better?? It sounds like this diabetic gets you up and then down..Is all your snow gone now? Ours is but it is col here today.that is alright I like the cooler weather...I was sick all weekend with the flu and a bit of Manic High.......No actually I was really high..but lastnight I slept 7 hrs..felt so good, as I was Physcially and Mentally broke down...But Easter is coming up and I always look forward to being with family..Hope you are 100% for Easter!!!!!!!!!!!!!((((((((((((Hugs)))))))))

I had the 24 hour flu thing over the weekend.

We are going to our Dear Daughter's place for Easter weekend & I'm really looking forward to seeing them all again.
We bought our grandsons,each one Easter candy & I always like to get them ,something else too,sometimes it's clothes,shorts/t-shirt.spring jacket,or a new base ball glove or a DVD,or something they have been wanting for awhile.
We are going on Good Friday & coming home on Easter Monday.
My Mom & Dad came to see me Monday & brought me a really nice ivy plant with a metal tea light candle holder, altogether,it's different,I've never seen anything like it before.
They also gave me a really nice get well card.
I can't remember,if I told you before, or not,anyway,I had my surgery on
March 29th.
They had to go deeper, than they had orginally thought they would,but it went well.
I'm still pretty sore,but it will only be a week this Thursday.
So I've been eating Tylenol & resting alot.
I've got a Diabetes Support Group Meeting ,to do Wednesday afternoon.
2 loaves of Vanilla Raisin Bread to make Wednesday night,to take to my Dear Daughter's.
Thursday will busy,I have an appointment to see the Ear Specialist at 11:15 am & an appointment to see our Fammily Doctor at 3:45 pm & we have to do the banking & pay bills thing too & suitcasees to pack.

Hi Everyone,
I had a nice day out with my dear friend Eve,shecame & picked me up & we went to the weight watchers meeting,then we went to the mall,then to Kelsy's for lunch,I had cream of broccoli & cheese soup & a nice green salad & a huge glass of ice water with a sice of lemon.
Next we went to the Bargain Dollar store & then to the Real Canadian Superstore & she dropped me off at home about 3 pm.

We are going to be grandparents again.
Our dear son & dear daughter-in-law are going to have thier first baby,the due date is October 31st.
I'm so thrilled.
It would be nice if they have a little girl,as we have 2 grandsons,but all I really care about is for the baby be healthy.
It's nice & sunny here with a lovely breeze.
Our dear daughter & dear son-in-law & dear grandsons are comming down this weekend,it will so nice to see them all again.
We will all be going to a surprise retirement party for my brother this Sat. afternoon,he has worked 33 years at Fords.
He is only 54.

I had a real pity party here all by myself on Monday,I'm feeling better today.
My dear husband took my last night,so I could get my hair washed & cut,I got it cut very short & it feels great.
This girl is ready for a nap,before getting supper ready.
Our 40th Wedding Anniversary is Sunday May 13th,same day, as Mother's Day this year.
