Close Grandparents Raising Children

we have had our 2 grandchildren (boys now 8 and 10) for most of their lives, this time 4 years. Our daughter has had Men problems and drug problems. we seem to be her fall back and she does it a lot. My husband is angry about it most of the time. I just want to do whats best for the kids and that isnt easy. I feel resentful as well that my life plans were all stopped without warning, and I guess I feel guilty about wanting my own life back.

I csught a Virus called adeno virus in august of 2000 that left me blind. It is so rare that it took 3 eye Drs to diagnos it (it starts out like pink eye but goes nasty) I was white blind for 6 weeks, then slowly got some vision back with medication. I could see colors and light but no details. I can see outdoors well but have imaired indoor vision.My corneas are covered with scars that i take steroid drops for. I found out later that if caught early enough I would not have gone blind at all.
