I just read your post about the problems you are having with your daughters. As I am only 23 and not a parent, I can't offer you any help or advice - I don't have the necessary experience. But I can offer you my support. I can also remind you that young girls are just plain caddy - don't take it personally! Love and support comin your way :)

      From Raydeen Thursday

      Hi Kim,

I have complex partial seizures. When I first got them in 2001 it was only grand mal seizures & over the years it changed, but as of 2006 it worsened & I don't think I should drive. My doctor doesn't say I can't drive but I don't want to hurt anyone by mistake. I recently saw my neurologist & he said the only thing we can do is try another medication if I'm willing. So when I see him in January I'll try what he prescribes for me & pray that I'm not allergic to it.

One lady that I works in the same building as I do had surgery done for her seizures also. Her seizures were getting worse & then she couldn't drive & luckily for her her father is a retired surgeon so he has all kinds of connections so she flew up to the mainland for it.

I'll mention having surgery to my neurologist when I see him in January & see what he says.

I do appreciate your advise & would enjoy getting to know you more. Have you been to Hawaii?

      Aloha,
      Raydeen

I know I've had this therapy before, but I don't remember how well it worked.
      Effexor Working / Worked
Effexor has helped me with my angered feelings. Great medication.
      Electroconvulsive therapy Not Working
I was extremely scared, however I was very disappointed with ECT.

If I'm feeling quite down that day, before I go to bed at night I focus on how much better I want to feel the next day.

This medication worked for a while, then it stopped.
      Psychotherapy Somewhat Helpful
I think counseling can be very beneficial, however I think what helped me the most is having a counselor that is'nt afraid to share part of their life.
      Seroquel Somewhat Helpful
Helped with relaxing me, without making me groggy.
Support from Friends & Family Somewhat Helpful
Alot of times I've never wanted to burden my family with my depression.
      Writing Working / Worked
Most of the time I only journaled when my depression was at its worst.
      Zoloft Working / Worked
Zoloft has helped me tremendously, with self-hate.
