    • Close Cerebral Palsy

Diagnosed with spastic diplegia at 2 1/2.

      Treatments

      Arthrotec Working / Worked
An anti-inflammatory that keeps the pain in my lower back and hips tolerable.
      Baclofen Not Working
      Did not help. Major nausea.
      Gabapentin Working / Worked
Keeps my nerve pain under control.
Heel Cord Lengthening Working / Worked
      Oxycodone Somewhat Helpful
This is to help control my pain levels. Some days my pain is tolerable. Other days it breaks through and I don't so so well.
      Surgery Working / Worked
Tendons released at 21/2 and 13
    • Close Depression
      Type: Clinical (Major) Depression

Diagnosed as depressed 3 years ago when my father died. Just lost my mom on Jan 2. Really struggling just to get through each day now.

      Treatments

      Paxil Not Working
I was on 30 mg a day but it aggrevated my CP symptoms.
      Psychotherapy Somewhat Helpful
Went to counselling short term after dad. Was ok. But now it is not possible for medical reasons.
    • Open Chronic Pain

I'm 28 and I have cerebral palsy, what was thought to be MS (but now isn't) scoliosis, suspected fibromyalgia, disc disease and arthritis, among other things.

      Treatments

      Chiropractic Adjustment Working / Worked
Been in ciropractic care since I was 2. Highly reccomend it.
      Marijuana Working / Worked
It only helps let my muscles relax a bit. Not much effect otherwise.
      Oxycodone Somewhat Helpful
Some days it can touch the pain, other times it does not.
    • Open Bereavement
      Type: Loss of a Parent

Three years ago I lost my father to lung cancer. In late August my mother was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer. I lost her on Jan 2. I feel as though my world has ended and the pain will never stop.

      Treatments

      Crying Not Working
I strat to cry and then it just shuts off, no matter how much I need to get it out.
      Grief Counseling Somewhat Helpful
Short term, walk in basis. Was somewhat helpful but it is hard to do for medical reasons.
