YOu're an inspiration..glad you're here. I lost a friend to cancer that started as breast cancer and then became stage 4 ful blown all over her bones, lungs etc and I lost her last year but she was still a survivor to me and I'm glad to see you're here to share your story with us and other hurting people.

Close Breast Cancer
I am a breast cancer survivor going on 11 years. You can read my story in my journal. I have reached a point in my life where I would like to give back for all the support and love I had during my illness. I have applied to be a volunteer to support women with breast cancer, and I will continue to support women through my writing.
Treatments
- Chemotherapy Working / Worked
- I'm still cancer free. The side effects were mild in the beginning and got worse. I never did throw up. My memory was shot, however.
- Mastectomy Working / Worked
- I decided to get a bi-lateral mastectomy because of my age and not wanting to ever worry about it again. I also wanted to have symetry.
- Reconstructive Surgery Working / Worked
- My breast aren't very pretty, but I have a sillouette that is pleasing to me. The nipples are barely there, but I guess I would do it again.
