    • About Me

I work in the community development field. I've had my issues, but I feel like there was a purpose for the trials and tribulations of my life. I have learned from most of my mistakes and take pride in how I conduct my life. I live completely drug and alcohol free, eat well, and exercise when healthy.

I love the Red Sox, UCONN basketball, hiking (when I don't have a case of chronic Lyme disease to contend with), mountain biking, eating sushi, and spending time with my husband.

You're so lucky to have caught it "early". I'm sure you have a great doc in CT and will make a full and speedy recovery. I am here for support.

    • Close Lyme Disease

I am in remission. I was on antibiotics for one year.

    • Close Prescription Drug Abuse

Addicted to oxycontin, vicodin, and percocet for about 3 years. I've been clean for 2.5 years so far.

    • Open Restless Legs Syndrome

I've had RLS for about 7-8 years now. I take Mirapex and it works wonders.

      Treatments

      Mirapex Working / Worked
It works like a charm! I take .125mg (1/2 a pill) when I've been active or don't feel the RLS too bad. I take .25mg when I feel like it's going to be a bad night. If I take the meds too late, I feel really groggy and out of it the next day. I usually take it at 6pm or whenever I have dinner.
    • Open Food Allergies
      Type of allergy: Other Nuts

My first allergic reaction was when I was six, but my parents thought that I just ate too many cashews, so I went along with no problems until high school. I had a minor reaction in high school and went to the doctor to get tested. I'm severely allergic to tree nuts, primarily cashews.

      Treatments

Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
      EpiPen Working / Worked
It gets me to the hospital in time.
