Technology never ceases to amaze me. NEVER
I received a new Dell laptop today.
BUY DELL (now I get paid).
The only thing faster than this computer is the rate at which I seem to be messing it up. Thank god for ‘return to default settings’. Whoever thought up that feature is my hero, even before I had kids.
I thought the mouse less mouse pads were kind of neat but my thumb keeps getting bored and wandering into mayhem while Suzy and her eight friends are working.
Who would have thought that a single opposable digit could… hang on, this song is annoying. Oh and my kid loaded his MP4 into this thing so I seem to spend more time playing with the music selections. A garage full of 8-track and 78 RPM vinyl now loaded into a matchbox. That’ll be easy to lose. If that isn’t distracting enough wait until I figure out how to use the web cam and movie maker!
File that quote under ‘famous last words’ HA
So I said farewell to my Tandy with built in six inch monochrome screen and dual 5 ¼ floppy drives. The forklift I hired will be around this afternoon to remove it from my house and the crane will stop by next week for the three color printer. I’m still not parting with my punch cards.
There was a time when Chrysler could not export their new cars because the electronics contained technology used in missile guidance systems, I asked the garbage man if he would take my WANG and he punched me.

You should write a book! What an excellent writer you are Mr. Coffee!

You are a good writer. When I see you've posted, I think, oh this will be good before I read it. Technology, humm, I still think my favorite thing is to watch people walking around ringing, or clucking like a chicken, or making swamp frog noises when their cell phones go off. I still answer people near me when I think I've been spoken too, only to rate a dirty look for listening to their "private" conversations in public places. I do remember working in rooms that were to cool for humans, just to keep even mini-frames operational.
We've come a long way, baby. Enjoy your new toy. Looking forward to your book.

You know, the best thing about Dell computers is that they NEVER DIE... I've had mine since 2002, have added a little RAM and a couple other bells and whistles... Oh, and a new monitor (I also had to call the fork lift for the old one--giant! I do love my Dell...
For whatever reason, Space Invadors has been coming to mind lately... Oh, and let's not forget PacMan...
Have fun with your new toy!!! xoxoxo Cj
