Well, we've been home for a few days. I am beginning to think that my father was more angry than I realized when we parted last Saturday. He went to get a coffee for his wife, and I went to the bathroom. When I came back, he had left the restaurant and was walking to his car. I think that I wasn't willing to meet with his wife, and wasn't willing to bring my kids, he was pissed. We hugged and parted with no plans to call or anything. I think I'll write a general how are you letter in a week or so. He's not a writer, have never received a letter from him. I hope I haven't started something that I can't handle. I don't think that's true.
I think I did the right thing anyway.
