ANOTHER DEATH!!!! k called, they are having the memorial next week.  i really can't believe this year, i think that is the fourth one!!!  ly is lo's sister.  she was 39.  i just saw her at a garage sale for animals in august.  wtf!!!  she just started court reporting a couple of years ago and was complaining that getting into the field properly and making real bucks, wasn't as easy as she expected.  she used to work in a diner for about 10 years before that and the rest of her work was with her sister doing animal sanctuary work volunteering.  they live with their parents the rest of the time by the beach up north,so its do-able to live like that.  they said ly had an asmtha attack in her sleep.  i can't believe this year, its one death and one bout of cancer after the other.  ly was at her sister's animal sanctuary when it happened.  would love to hear the whole scoop but right now, i'm in shock.  what is happening this year!!!!???  its like everyone is just giving up

i've really had it.  i/m pms'd right now anyway, but UBU IS MISSING AGAIN!!!!, even when the sewer pump was off this weekend.  i have a bad feeling it is the people behind us as you could hear the one with the severe head injuries who talks funny, whooping, "look in the yard, look in the yard" when they got home the other night, reminds me of the retarded kid in "what's eating gilbert grape" (i love that movie) and the other guy saying, "put it over here."  put what?  at 2 a.m.?  they were only there about one hour and then left.  do they actually live there?  haven't figured them out at all?   i am sickened.  i've had ubu for six years.  but its sickening no matter who it is.  all of this trouble all of a sudden.  i can see now, why so many move to the country so they don't have to deal with neighbors or people anymore and all the CRAP.  that's what a lot of them have already done and they keep urging me to do the same thing, but for me that will mean the panhandle area or out west or something, i really don't want to leave the salt air.  how many animals missing since the new neighbors got here?  but i don't want to false accuse either and we already know about asshole wes.

its gotten very windy, i guess from hurricane ida.  there were FIVE motorsailor yachts in the canal last night.  almost like it used to be all the time.  must be very wavey out there on the ocean/intracoastal.  lol.  nice to see them though.  i'm kind of in total pain right now, learning ly died, i kept meaning to call her mother back too, though it wasn't about this, it was about large animals (which i don't do right now) and i just kept forgetting, that poor family - four daughters (they all look alike too), TWO dead now from freak things, one a paraplegic from a trucking accident (that is the one with the animal sanctuary) and one still healthy.  and they keep plugging along, its amazing.  if i were her mother, i'd be catatonic from it all.  seriously.  they all get along and everything as well, lots of activity over there all the time from the grandchildren from the one healthy daughter as amazing as that is and their nieces and nephews/cousins.   the parents have a sprawling house on about a half-acre near the beach. 

that family's lives  have been upsidedown like this since 1991, which is when the first accident happened and their animal sanctuary opened.  but its like they keep getting hit again and again, about every nine years on the nose, ly was even kidding around about this at the garage sale in august because there are other incidences like this from the 70's and 80's but i don't remember what.  she was saying "we're due.  we are you know."  and her mother was horrified.  i think her mother has been afraid it would be the paraplegic and was making arrangements for the sanctuary because of that, and it ended up being ly instead.  1982 something happened, 1973 something happened or that one was 1974 i think...they were going down the list of when the tragedies strike them...with br's family it was every four years and it was usually death from cancer or something equally serious.  another one, like clockwork.  for ly's family, 1991 was the trucking accident and lo becomes a paraplegic.  2000 was the drunken driver killing her sister, li.  2009 the other sister, ly dies in her sleep from asthma.  "god only gives you what you can handle."  what's weird is the obit didn't mention much about LY.  they used the animal sanctuary stuff and though ly helped out there and its important, that's really ly's sister's thing.  ly also had her own life.  she worked at a big diner in the area for over ten years and had a zillion friends through there, those people and patrons would want to know about this.  that is the point of an obit, to alert people and herald the person who just died, AND ly was in court reporting school for a few years and became a court reporter a couple of years ago and worked freelance for the state attorneys office and various agencies in the area.  its an accomplishment.  its great she volunteered at this and that, but she accomplished things too.  the impression i got is the press was using ly's death as an angle for the sanctuary again.  even in death you have to do that?
