Today, most people in the U.S. are female,
35 years old or older and
live in metropolitan areas
where they own their home.
Most people in the U.S. now either live alone or in a households with no more than one or two other people.
compared to:
100 years ago (1909), most people living in the U.S. were male, under 23 years old, lived rural (in the country) and rented their homes. Almost half (50 percent) of all the people in the U.S. lived in households with five or ten other people.

(HealthDay News) — An ancient Chinese herbal remedy called "thunder god vine" helps reduce inflammation in people with rheumatoid arthritis, a new study shows.
The remedy is an extract of the medicinal plant Tripterygium wilfordii Hook F (TwHF)—known in China as "lei gong teng"—and has been used for centuries to treat a variety of inflammatory diseases.
neanderthals had robust skeletons that gave them wide bodies and short limbs compared to us. This made them more like wrestlers, while modern humans in comparison are more like long-distance runners.
They were probably less brutish and more like modern humans than commonly portrayed. Their brains were at least as large as ours. They controlled fire, expertly made stone tools, were proficient hunters, lived complex social groups and buried their dead. The discovery of the remains of an adult male Neanderthal with severely deformed arm bones, suggesting a major disability perhaps since childhood, hints they may have taken care of their sick. Genetic research even suggests they might have shared basic language capabilities with modern humans.
have actually been making an effort for the past three days to work on the flossing thing. have no idea why i ever stopped having my teeth scaled every few months, but at least the flossing should help it. the gums respond right away to it. if they taught flossing from toddlerhood on, everyone would do it and everyone wouldn't be losing their teeth at such a young age. i was soooo shocked to discover that. people think nothing of just pulling them all out and being done with them. wtf? the dental office i use is still not calling, their machine says they only call back if an appointment is available. wtf. the other big dental clinic isn't even in the yellow pages. i still haven't adapted to all the shut downs. is any business safe? is anywhere safe? paul claims texas is still normal. lots of jobs available. not sure yet.
