I just don't know how to feel, My dad died in January, I have just had a break up with my boyfriend of 1 year and am …
its hot and clear outside and pretty quiet, birds chirpy kind of thing. surprised how many places didn't have fireworks that normally do, especially the bigger ones. our show seemed shorter than usual and the shows i can usually catch if i go back south to feed the animals and check on them on the 4th instead of staying up north, all those shows started EARLY this year, like everything was over by 9:30. soooo different. nothing late night at all. someone on the intracoastal over here did a late night fireworks show from their house around 11:30 p.m., but it was only for about ten minutes. someone said the reason so many towns didn't do shows this year is because big fireworks cost around $150,000 plus they have to pay police plus a band as some have bands and even philharmonic orchestras for it. that would be pretty. over here its usually just radio station music set to the fireworks and i don't always use the radio station.
b has been out of sorts lately and j thinks he is up to something? it could just be partying though. everyone goes through that at some point. he's definitely edgey and kind of rambling about nothing sensical. i was also thinking it can be allergies as i know this year i am affected by allergies and getting sick somedays from it. its only JULY, so weird. what allergy comes up in july. NEW thing i guess? nice to know about leeann's neighbor's house for $20,000, makes me want to move to homestead almost. lol. better climate and no mortgage. wouldn't that be nice. homestead is almost the keys really. lol. i really could retire completely.
i went around the block to see if laura is totally moved out and she is. she moved to a condo with full amenities which is actually LESS than she was paying for the house over here. then i went to the surfer's house across the street from her. he's only here once per month to surf so its always empty and i am thinking the stray mother may be hiding her babies under that house. i'll need to go back with a flashlight and long pants and long sleeves and really look.
nothing else going on. michele (who is crippled and very cuddly, demanding and dependent because of it) is standing better than ever before i noticed. big surprise. the white kitty is soiling. i caught her twice and she was fixed recently so i wonder if its that or just new territory for her. i named the tortipoint painter because of the multi color (like a painter pony), it is a beautiful cat with big blue eyes, "painter" then became painty which now seems to be penny. lol. see what becomes of that name. animals around here always seem to name themselves. it still sneezes sometimes but i have a feeling it is just allergy. its pink eye ("conjunctivitis") seems to have cleared up. chompy doesn't like her. lol. the orange mom has a rash up the back of her hind legs, so i put ordinary triple antibiotic on them for now. if it still doesn't work out then i'll have to see if anyone's in with a vet can get me animax ointment. i have a small amount here and some betegen spray, some anti microbial/yeast spray and some clindamycin capsules. they all work for skin disorders, but animax is the most broad spectrum and is even used inside the ears now instead of otomax. otomax was the big ear solution a few years ago, but not anymore (perhaps the ear bacterias became resistant to it. bacteria does that. very smart germs. just like viruses are very smart.) i think the orange cat is prone to skin troubles as she came in with scabs all over her (all of which are gone now, i think it was just flea allergy) she had swelling on one side of her body and was listed as possibly blind because she had half closed irritated pinkish eyes and third eyelids on both eyes. the eye infections went away as well with ordinary teramycin eye ointment. and the swelling on her side went away FOUR months later when she gave birth to two kitties. (still haven't figured that one out as cats gestate for two months, not four months and she is inside a cat room. lol. the only possibility is a male KITTEN got her pregnant before it was fixed!!! and she expelled whatever was on the other swollen side for over four months when she gave birth from a new pregnancy? i'm just guessing. she definitely seems perkier now. or maybe she just doesn't do well pregnant.
egg salad on bread 250, peanut butter on bread 250, one yodel 150, diet gingerale 0, (canada dry makes the best ginger ale. lol. and ginger is good for upset stomachs i even made a ginger tea the other day. i never even knew that.) black coffee 0, 5 tortilla chips and hot salsa 50, two bites of left over hoagie 100, plain yogart 150, 955 and its morning. boy am i in trouble i guess. lol.
everything still always gets done, but i am capable of doing so much less in the passed 7 years especially. it does coincide with the weight gain and some of the injuries, so it makes me wonder. i think weight and CLUTTER are both huge deterents and so is physical injury because of the stress on the body and the relearning needed because of compensating for the new injuries. who knows, the result is the same anyway and one has to deal with what one has at that moment, doesn't really matter much, how or why it ended up that way, except for possible vengeance, which is always very satisfying, gets rid of anxiety and provides closure. i also noticed i am still me in the morning and then i take my bp pills and i become this very level nothing person, with very little energy and almost no reaction to anything. it DOES lower my blood pressure so i'm not dizzy, and i don't feel panicky as the bp rise without pills makes me panic and the body goes into survival mode thing.

It has been a crazy day today, my son had a fit over everything I told him to do. We still managed to get his room …
Today was all right, I had to go for a sonagram today to check on the baby, Thank God all is well.I told the babys dad …
Weird thing around here to...Fireworks were nice but much smaller display then in previous years. Also, many places here did not have them either. Even our own neighborhood, which usually has plenty of fireworks did not happen at all. Lucky if I heard maybe 10 all day long. People just didn't have the money to spend this year. In the past our neighbors had huge displays...everything just low key this year.
Sounds like those kitties are keeping your busy. I love Penny nice name. Thanks for writing about all of them, enjoy hearing about each...
I vote for Canada Dry Ginger Ale too. It is by far the best.
Here, it is now cloudy again, started out sunny then cloudy but never rained, heard the thunder in the distance, now it is getting much blacker, so I guess the rains are coming to visit. How are the mosquitoes your way?
Take Care and have a great Evening...Did those boys ever get any fish?
LOL

I hope the kitty feels better soon! we just saw a short fireworks show but it was just the right length. I drink ginger tea a lot. that's why ginger's served with sushi, to calm the belly

I expect the animals would be thankful that there were'nt too many fireworks. Glad you enjoyed the celebrations.
Its our allergy time here, the pollen count is high, its haymaking as well. Thankfully I dont suffer from it.
I forgot about Michelle, isnt that awful, really pleased she is going on ok though.
BP tablets certainly make people tired with no energy. MY blind friend is putting up with her bp being higher than it should be because she hates the tablets. They so seem to calm you down though.
I like ginger tea as well, camomile is calming also.

the boys got reds ONE time out of the few times they have gone. they are out again on the boat but it makes me wonder if its just too hot? maybe they should try 3 a.m. for fishing as the one guy i know that used to catch all the time, always went at 4 a.m. or so and he fished off the pier so he generally got a different variety of fish. mostly blue fish or white fish. all great though. but so far no for this weekend.

What about six small meals-kind of the grazing thing? I'm a great one to talk...I have this love affair with Cheetos! But...In theory, if you keep your blood sugar on an even keel throughout the day, you don't end up noshing on cinnamon buns... Boy, I hiked several miles today and a cinnabun sounds wonderful :D. I skipped breakfast and haven't eaten dinner...
On to the next subject... I wouldn't use triple antibiotic ointment on your cats. Two of the three antibiotics in there are toxic in humans. And since cats lick themselves and are more sensitive to medications than we are...Are you sure this is a good idea? Maybe try Hydrocortisone cream, that's not toxic if taken internally. If the vet told you to use triple abx then...
Love and blessings, Diane

i didn't know they are toxic!! thanks for the heads up. i know animax for animals is okay and so it betagen spray they are just very expensive. but you get what you pay for. i'll use those i guess. this cat seems to have skin disorders in general. have no idea why. haven't seen that in an animal in over a year. sometimes its a food allergy and that one was adopted by a sanctuary. very sweet animal but horrendous allergy problems and she has an on-call vet and full funding. we don't. that cat got verrry lucky.
