there's a whole industry of so-called domain "tasting," whereby companies buy up recently expired domain names, test their traffic ratings, and estimate their profitability. (Sites like SnapNames.com and Pool.com will tell you when certain domain names are about to expire.) If a site is deemed a moneymaker, the company will hold on to it. If it's not, the company will give it back within the five-day grace period. The practice is legally restricted to domain names that use words you can find in the dictionary. But some companies will buy up variations or misspellings of other well-known sites—like, say, Micorsoft.com. Those sites aren't legal, but they can still turn a profit before the trademarked party notices.

its a long tale, but this is the bare bones. i received a shirt from my stepsister that was five years out of style with a tag still on it. have no idea where she got it from. i asked so i could return it and she told me a couple of stores, wasted time trying to return and couldn't because the truth was it was an old shirt her friend had never worn, and had been in the back of her friend's closet. a big waste of precious time trying to return something not returnable. in the end i gave it back to her and told her she can keep it because i would never wear it. this same step sister, the following year gave my fiance a gift but not me and she was horrified when she found it sitting in our garage the following summer (that's how i found out about what she was doing), when he and i broke up a year later, she started showing up at his house until he finally called the police on her to get rid of her. this same stepsister gave my brother an album, which she asked ME for the money to reimburse someone else she borrowed the money from to buy it. then she stole it out of his room and took it back to the store and got a singer that SHE liked instead and never gave it back to him. lol. when she attempted to "pay back this money that she owed me" she went into MY WALLET and handed me my own money as a pay back, and no she was not a younger under age sister she was older by a few years actually and no she is not mentally challenged. i could write and write and write on this one, my former office used to call her billy carter (like jimmy carter's brother) because she would make harassing calls at our office as well and THEY had to end up calling the police on her. here's another one, another year this same step sister gave me one of my own albums. i always write my name in the center of it after i buy one. i unwrap it and look at it and i say to her, this is mine. lol. my brother laughed until he cried. when i went away one year, she pilfered my albums saying they were HERS even artists she never listens to. since i am very into music, i think for me, that was the last straw. everyone is divorced now anyway. we don't know her anymore, thanks. i haven't seen her for 18 years now, thank you jesus.



i also knew someone who would give presents and then after everyone was drunk steal back the presents. lol. if she gave you alcohol, she would open it without your permission and then finish it off before you left, or hide the bottle so you couldn't bring your present home with you. obviously, she is not in the picture anymore either. lol.



someone should write a book on holiday horror stories, because all you can do is laugh it off. but i bet for traditional style people who insist on seeing bad people no matter what, it must be very hard
