I am a 49 year old female from Iowa. I was diagnosed with Sarcoid in July of 2006. I was sick for weeks with being dx with lung cancer to lymphoma. Finally, I had the biopsies of my lungs and lymphnode in my chest. So, here I am waiting to be cured... Good luck to all of you.

Close Sarcoidosis
I was dx back in July of 2006. A few month prior to being dx I felt tired, run down and short of breath. I knew something was wrong but, just afraid to find out what. I finally made a doctors appt. but, before I could see her I fell ill. Started out with flu symptoms and then the cough appeared. It was down hill from there. Today, I am still fighting to recover. It has been 14 moths. Only difference now is the cough is gone...all other symptoms are still present.
Treatments
- Methotrexate Too Soon to Tell
- I honestly don't know. When I take this drug, I am so sick.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- This helps with my pain.
Close Hypothyroidism
I had my thyroid removed in 2001 due to an enlarged thyroid. I have been on Armour thyroid for 7 years now.
Treatments
- Armour Thyroid Working / Worked
- Once I started Aroumd thyroid and my levels stabled I was able to lose the 50 lbs that I gained from my thyroid not working. No sides effects. Only word of advise, take your armour alone. do not take anyother medicines with it.
Open Arthritis
I was dx with Sarcoid in 2006 now it has turned into arthritis. I am having terrible pain in my hands. It is at the point where I can't hardly use them.
Treatments
- Tylenol Not Working
- Helps for a while and then the pain is back.
- Methotrexate Too Soon to Tell
- I started on the pill form of methotrexate in 2006.That bothered my stomach so in 2007 I started taking metho in shot form. That seems to be working much better.
