I am 17 years old I wore a Brace for 7 years and am now going to be having surgery on January the 15th, 2008. I will be admitted into the hospital on January the 14th, 2008. I go to the Shriners Hospital in Lexington, Kentuckey.

Hi Hug, Do not worry about lying. I understand how you feel. Trust me, I am working in education teaching young adults and I was also young at one time.Most of us are doing it for various reasons and noone is loving you less for that. You need to understand how much you helped people with your advise. I would never even thaught about shriners if not for you. I wish you all the best, successfull surgery and speedy recovery. I was diagnosed when I was seven years old and they put me into a boston brace for seven years. when I was 16 years old i got the brace off Now my curves are 66* and 69* they have just been watching my curves and this past september i was told that i was going to have to have surgery to correct my spine.
