I am getting closer to the state boards! I have officially scheduled them for July 21st; and that's a Tuesday. I plan to study hard in the next coming weeks; and doing many practice questions. But I won't be getting the job I wanted at the hospital of my choice. They wanted me to start right away on July 13th; and therefore I would have had to sit for boards in a week from now.
There are no openings for the boards this soon. I waited to see and checked everyday for an opening, but nothing. So I went ahead and scheduled myself. I can always move up the date if one becomes available; but until then it's a go....and I have a focus now.....
I plan to take good care of myself; eat well, get back into the gym; take my dog on hikes, and just work and do some playing....it is summer afterall!

Hey, Toots. Are you just ASSUMING this job you want won't hire you, given the fact that July 21st is the absolute EARLIEST that you can take your board exams? Remember my famous words of wisdom: IF YOU DON'T ASK, YOU DON'T GET. I would advise AGAINST taking the tests any earlier than what you have stated above; you don't need the added stress of "cramming." If I were you, I'd be on the horn to that hospital where you really want to get a job and talk to whomever you must to see if they will "wiggle" with you on the start date.
