Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Type: Relapsing-remitting MSOriginally I went numb on entire left side. Dr.'s thought at first that I had a stroke or blood clot from an ankle injury that I didn't stay off of like they said to do. I was diagnosed within 3 days of being admitted to the hospital.
Treatments
- Neurontin Working / Worked
- I take this for headache pain and muscle spasms. It works but it makes me sleepy! :-) So, I don't take it every day and I try to rest first.
- Physical Therapy Working / Worked
- Rebif Not Working
- I didn't have any relapses on it but my MRI showed new lesions so the doctor is taking me off of it to try Tysabri.
- Solumedrol Working / Worked
- It really wiped me out but it did help a lot with my symptoms. I would definetly do it again if I needed it.
- Swank Diet Somewhat Helpful
- This is a very difficult diet to stay with. It's very strict!! I follow most of it the best I can.
- Swimming Working / Worked
- Symmetrel Working / Worked
- This med can cause Livedo Reticularis in some who take it. Which in turn may cause blood clots. In my case it did and I was taken off of it.
- Tysabri Working / Worked
- I get really tired and dizzy part of the day following my infusion. I get the occasional headache but I can't say it has anything to do with Tysabri. So far this is much better than giving myself shots 3 days a week!
- Wellbutrin Working / Worked
- Helps with the "blues" I get sometimes.
