Thank you very much. I can not handle therapy so I am not doing this at this time but I have seen this new doctor and he is going to numb my arm and hands and then send me to therapy hopefully this will help me. They also changed my meds to neurontin 300mg and I just started that last week. I do not see any change at this point but I am going to start going to support groups in my area and I truly think this will help me.
Good Luck
I just wanted to say my husband and I are in the same boat with you. I want to also have a family soon and with all the pain meds I think I am going to stop taking meds because they dont help my pain and try to have a family.. The only thing is I am afriad my pain will get worse. I am not sure maybe even better. Good luck with your Family.. Hope all works out for you to get a little princess or prince..

Close Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy
On December 22, 2004 I slipped on ice and twisted my left wrist. I had 4 surgeons tell me I needed surgery to remove part of my arm bone. I never did. This past June, one of my profs told me she thought I had RSD. On August 10 I saw the neurologists and she confirmed RSD. And I don't need to have any part of my arm bone removed.
Treatments
- Neurontin Too Soon to Tell
- I just strated with this drug. The side effects for me have been: extreme tiredness to the point I have hard time waking up in the morning. Muscle weakness throughout my body and dizziness that lasts up to 3 hours.
- Tegretol Too Soon to Tell
- I started using Tegretol in August. It seems to help somewahat with the pain.
