Wow you truly know your diabetes information. This is so new to me, so I gabble every thing I can. I just came back from my walk. Yes walk, and it doesn't even bother my breathing. I go with my little tshitzu Maggie, no anxiety so that helps. I rather walk alone with Maggie, this way I walk at my own pace. Hope your son is having minimal sides to none. Poor kid, I can't believe his vl fluctuates so much.

in 2002 went to dr cos of upper centre abdo pain. ultra sound and bloods were normal, but parasites depicted possible ulcer. eradication was successful. 2005 diagnosed diabetes, was prescribed metformin but didnt take them cos didnt trust dr. slow to recover last winter flu. sleeping 18 hours a day. started metformin in feb 2007. next bloods showed liver function probs. referred to endoc - thyroid over active. also to gastro - liver enlarged + hard + lesions. scans cirrhosis. hepc ?genotype
my full story is in my profile in the hep c community. no matter. i have hyperthyroid activity since feb this year and two fairly large solid nodules. endoc said yesterday that he wants me to have complete thyroidectomy. first and second biopsy were inconclusive, but evidence suggests possibility of something more sinister. due for op next friday.

i was dx nearly 4 years ago, but it seems it was a secondary condition to hep c. my full profile is in hepatitis c.
i was firstly dx with diabetes 5 yrs ago, then early 2007 to late 2007 was tested for all sorts. they found ca in the breast and thyroid. should have had mastectomy cos after lumpectomy they found more. also had thyroid removed, further tests revealed emphysema, hep c, portal hypertension and cirrhosis. started 48-72 wks combo tx last fri.
emphysema is my latest dx a month ago. i am told the problem is not a major problem at this stage, but i must give up the fags before it becomes a big problem. i have a constant cough, get quite wheezy and shortness of breath. i dont need this along with all else thats going on, so the fags are a must asap. methinks i will make it a goal for the near future.
