    • About Me

I'm a caregiver. My husband has had Parkinsons for about 11 years. I am still working full time but my husband is retired. He takes Sinemet, Stalevo and requip. We attend a support group in a nearby city which helps a lot. We have learned a lot about Parkinsons in these meetings. We walk a lot. Exercise is really important with this disease.

Hope you week is going well. My husband has his second appointment with the specialist tomorrow. He was diagnosed 6 months ago, so he's in the early stages and doesn't take medicine yet. The hard part for part for him is lack of energy and not be able to do the work that he used to do.

I'm a caregiver. My husband has had Parkinsons for about 11 years. I still work full time but he is retired. He is taking sinemet, stalevo, and requip. Medications help him but they don't always last long enough. Sometimes it can take a long time for the medication to kick in, especially if he has eaten food with a lot of protein. When his medication is not working, he has tremors and balance problems along with anxiety.
