I'm a caregiver. My husband has had Parkinsons for about 11 years. I am still working full time but my husband is retired. He takes Sinemet, Stalevo and requip. We attend a support group in a nearby city which helps a lot. We have learned a lot about Parkinsons in these meetings. We walk a lot. Exercise is really important with this disease.

I'm a caregiver. My husband has had Parkinsons for about 11 years. I still work full time but he is retired. He is taking sinemet, stalevo, and requip. Medications help him but they don't always last long enough. Sometimes it can take a long time for the medication to kick in, especially if he has eaten food with a lot of protein. When his medication is not working, he has tremors and balance problems along with anxiety.
