Girls....I am in so much pain. I need help. My arm is doing the same thing it did a month ago. I can't moveit and its very painful and I'm so confused. I was in so much pain last night i was crying and couldn't get ahold of my doctor until this morning. I don't have complete sensation in my arm. All the way from my shoulder to the finger tips is SUPER COLD, tingling and painful...and my hand is very spoltchy white. Has this ever happened to any of you????????? I NEED HELP- i need answers. My doc put me on a Medrol Dos Pak and Vicodin but that doesn't answer why to me...... HE said he thinks I have a mixed connective tissue disease but we didn't get into too much detail since its the weekend- i'll see him on monday and talk to him. ANYBODY ever heard of anything like this at all???

There is definitely something going on and if the meds that you're taking are not helping and if the condition is getting progressively worse, I say that you need to go in to the ER. It seems as if something is going on with your nerves and should be checked out.

Hey. I know you're freaking out but you need to try and take a couple deep breaths. Stress is going to weaken your system and I'm sure you're already pretty exhausted from your sleepless night of crying.
I haven't heard of anything, or experienced it myself, before. But, I did do a quick search online and found some information for you if you wanted to read it. For me, I find it helps to know more about the thing that I don't understand (like when I was diagnosed with HPV 2 years ago and had never heard of it). So here's the link:

I wish I had some great advice or comforting words for you ... What I can tell you is to just take the vicodin, try to relax (easier said than done, I know) and minimize additional stress on your system, and just make it through today - hopefully you'll know more tomorrow. Please don't forget that the other girls and I are very much here for you.

thanks for the support. i did take a hot bath yesterday day and it gave me some relief for a little while. i'm also using aspercreme and biofreeze creme which numbs it. its freakin me out because i'm thinkin is there something going on that i don't know about and i should be concerned about ?

it's not worth going to the emergency room!!! i don't want to sit there and wait 5 hours before seeing a doctor. i talked to my pcp yesterday and he put me on the medrol dos pak and vicodin. i know i don't need to go to the ER.....

I have no idea what is going on with ya so do the best possible thing and go to the er pronto!!! Dont let this get out of hand. Have you tried a heating pad to put on it? Maybe some heat would help. Make sure ya take the vicodin on a full tummy. I really hope ya just go to the ER. They could atleast keep a close eye on you until you can see your doctor. Keep us posted on how you are feeling ok?

to be honest honey i think you are on the wrong meds you should be on morphine and you should be in hospital, i think most of this is to do with stress and if you dont get to deal with it it will just get worse, you know how to contct me if and when you need to, take care, loads of love xx

thanks for the support everyone....i didn't go to the ER- i got the vicodin and medrol dos pak in my system and have been feeling better. still having pain in my hand and a lot of swelling and temperature changes. At least I can move my arm now though! We'll see what the doc says tomorrow and i'll let you all know

Has your DR checked you for a blood clot. That would explain alot of the symptoms you are having. Pain&temp change. Be careful with the vicodin it is very addictive. I would go back to your Dr and let him/her know that you are still having pain and that you want to know the posibilities of a blood clot. If that is what you have your Dr can give you a blood thinner. Just handing out vicodin scares me it is a very heavy drug so be careful. Please let me know what you find out.

You could be having a severe syptom of Raynaud's Phenomenon which usually comes with MCTD. You need to get in soon. My daughter has had this since she was 2 and now with my MCTD I am experiencing it also.
