I am a 55 yearold male. Been sober 23 years. Former skidrow drunk and Former President of a small Company. I'm on the Heart Transplant list at UCLA. Still don't drink one day at a time. Had a heart transplant in Feb. 07. I now have a 19yr.old heart.It's December now and I feel GREAT. Humbled by the generosity of the donors family.And ever so grateful to God.(Miracles happen)

Types: HeartI had my heart transplant on Feb.25th 2007.It's Aug now and the heart is doing fine.It belonged to a 19 year old.I am truly blessed . I hate the meds I'm on but plan "B" really sucks

- It ruined my life. I'm too young to be retired. Scared would describe my experience. But thru it all I'm still here.God must have a plan for me cause I was dead.

- The steps of this program did something for me I couldn't do for myself. It gave me a way of life.It helped to make me the man I always wanted to be.
- AA Meetings Working / Worked
- The fellowship this program offers will be discoved in AA meetings. The support and understanding are there.AA meetings are the one place where I actually fit in.
Open Heart Failure
I have had an ICD for 3 years now.I also have a device called a Chronical.Basically what it is is an implant that measures heart flow and pressures.I think I have 1 0f 5 in the State.It's a project managed by UCLA for Medtronics. This is hi-tech stuff.
