      Stage: I (T1 N0)

      Diagnosed in May, 2007 from a mammogram with calcifications in the right breast. Needle biopsy showed dcis, surgical biopsy showed lobular invasive cancer, 2 ducts removed tested negative. Oncologist ordered an MRI (shudder) which showed spots on left side. Ultra sound and MRI biopsy (shudder x 10) showed DCIS in left breast, too. Mid August I had a bi-lateral mastectomy. I'm researching reconstruction now.

      Treatments

      Surgery Working / Worked
      I believe it worked. I don't know much about how one tests after a bi-lateral mastectomy and reconstruction.
      Nolvadex Too Soon to Tell
      Just started this week.
