About Me
I am a 50 year old single parent. My kids are 27 and 24. I have one adorable grand daughter..Onechild has left the nest the other we are still working on it She is my oldest and was born with Down Syndrome. She is doing excellent but before she is able to move on to her own place...she needs to still learn how to complete certain tasks of daily living! I work...(ed) with children with developemtnal disabilities and love(d) every second. Becasue I work mainly on the floor with the children and teaching and modelling for the parents how to accomplish the best with their children...I am currently on lt disability! I hope to someday go back to work..but as of yet, , am not able to. I am lucky I have the support of many good doctors!!

Interests
I love animals. We have 2 dogs and just recently lost one very old cat to cancer! Dogs are both shelter dogs. Becasue of the FM I have had no interests it seems in the last almost 3 years now. I have decided I am not going to let FM control me. I just needed to adjust my activities. So now..I have taken up my art again. I can sit and sketch and do is as slowly or as much or little as I like. It gives me a feeling of accomplishment.which I find very important to me!

- helped me to fall asleep and stay asleep for approx 1 hour

- ifI am no longer on the meds it is because they did not work. I can no longer remember the names of most of them....but I am trying or have tried , it seems, just about everything out there .

- together with celexa...my panic attacks are minimal now

- helps with my depression and combined with the Welblutrin...keeps my panic atacks ata minimal

- helped for a while..then seemed to stop working after about 2 months. When it worked it worked well...but when it stoped...it stopped!!
- Tylenol Working / Worked
- This seems to help me go to sleep! Go figure. IT somewhat helps with the pain in my hands and knees from osteoarthritis..but the main thing is IF I am havingtrouble sleeping..it seems to help me GET to sleep!
Close Down Syndrome
I am the parent of a person who has Down Syndrome. She is now 26 years old and one of the loves of my life!! She is doing extremely well and despite all the negativity as she was growing up...has risen above it ll and become her own best advocate!!!!!

- Luvox Working / Worked
- She takes this to help control her OCD. She still has many obsessions but with this medication she can be easily transfer to a different topic!!
- Topamax Working / Worked
- Besides having Down Syndrome...Kerri also has OCD, ADHD and mild PDD The topamax is used as a mood stabalizer. IT works excellent with her
