Well.. this is my first day here on this great website. I want to research as much as possilble on Ra and try and connect with poeple who have it as well.

Sometimes I still cannot believe this is happening to me. This pain all started back in April 2007 in my right shoulder. This is also when we found out my mother had uterine cancer. It got to a point where I could not even raise my arm. Then it went to the other arm and I had to go see a doctor right away. All he prescribed was something for the pain and thats all. I made an appt. with my primary dr and she just said take some advil. Well here we are almost 5 months later and almost a trip to the ER because of the excruciating pain in every joint in my body and now am on RA meds. They are working its just my knees are a pin and I have had problems with them in the past but this is the worst.

 My 1 year wedding anniversary is coming up and wanted to a whole night of dinner, dancing, the whole 9 yards and get dresses really pretty on ready to hit the town, but honestly that won't be happening. Just trying to wear heels is a problem these days! My husband has been sooo supportive, I am so glad I married him. My job has been so supportive as well, with trying to switch my hours or wearing gymshoes here in the office.

 Also, I found out that I am hypoglycemic which is antoher phrase for low blood sugar. Since I have the lapband surgery, I will be going to see me DR. next week in downtown chicago to have the band unfilled a bit so that I can eat a bit more and more healthier foods. I wonder if this had something to do with my RA.

We also found out that my brother in law has pancreatic & stomach cancer and that is another battle I need to face with my husband. So all in all with my RA, my mothers Uterine Cancer, and my brother in laws cancer, I have a whole lot on my plate so I am trying to look for support/information on as many boards as I can. Thanks!
