I had to wait 17 years before having my twins - long story. I now have a beautiful boy and girl who are 17 months. I went through 3 years of hell waiting for an egg donor, going through the fertility cycles, and finally having those miracle embryos take - only to have a terrifying and difficult pregnancy. It was totally worth it all.
