Journal Entry for December 15, 2008 Mood
Monday, December 15, 2008 | A General Update story
Lately I have been craving chocolate a lot. I just really love chocolate. Does anyone here ever have any cravings for chocolate or anything else. A couple days ago, I was really craving chocolate and I couldn't find a ride to the store, so I made myself walk to the store, even though it was cold and snowing to go buy some chocolate. I bought 2 packs of assorted donuts and a package of cookies with hershey's kisses on them. I am underweight, but I do walk when I can and I also weigh myself a lot. I'm surprised that I haven't gained a lot of weight from eating chocolate a lot. My metabolism is really high. Is it normal to have cravings for chocolate? Thanks for the replies. Dawn

Hello there catlover, I too love chocolate, it is amazing that you brought this up, cause I also had donuts yesterday, they were yummie.

Chocolate is delicious but it is also addictive. Keep in mind that it has caffeine. I consume very little chocolate for this reason. Instead I eat carob bars, which taste like chocolate, but the carob is made from a fruit that grows in the Mediterranean. I'm glad you don't have to worry about weight. But you may want to ask yourself if you are eating to avoid any emotional situation. I definitely do that. My last marriage was held together by carob.

I don't think I've heard of carob before. Where do you buy that at?

ohhh honey!!! Me too!!! i love, love, love it!!! They have regular (organic) chocolate at the health store too! It is "yummy"!! And if you get the "dark" choc...you only need two or three (maybe 4 hehe) little squares, and your good to go! :) It's not so bad really! Calorie-wise, it's not too much either!

chocolate is extremely addictive, but really good. I have had carob before its not that bad. I prefer dark chocolate to anything else.

yeah Chocolate in small amounts, especially dark chocolate, is good for you! Some people consider it healthy for your heart. I crave it once a week. If you had to walk to the store you probably burned off the calories :)
